If they came out and announced that this game would not be running on the Frostbite engine and they brought back the Ignite & Infinity engine for this game that would have been way better than what we currently have. Football games don't and will never run well on animation based engine, every football game that we hold to high regard that came out years ago all ran on physics based engines... I was beyond disappointed when I read that this game will run on Frostbite.
Bro those engines are so outdated you forgot they got rid of that engine back in 2012 I believe it’s 2024 and nobody is using that engine it’s probably had no updates they just need to build a sports based physics engine from the ground up like 2K did back with ESPN 2K5 and All Pro Football 2K8 and the problem will be solved the gameplay would be hood but everything else about the fake would be terrible lol
One thing I want to mention that has been an issue in madden/ncaa since 06' is the cpu difficulty. When changing the cpu difficulty the only thing that should change is the cpu iq in terms of playcalling/adjustments , not the overall of the players. Because there should be no reason 60 overall dline men are shedding blocks from 85-90 overall OL men in .5 second 9/10 times on All Madden/heisman.
That doesn’t happen on college football, I use presnap slide protection and I only got sacked 9 times for the whole season and I played in the big 12. You gotta get better gang

It’s a brand new game that they will build upon for years to come . Create a player will be back once legal matters are handled . High school in road to glory will be back . They’ve said they will address and fix every problem the community has and I believe them because they hired people from the college football revamped community. The game hasn’t been out a month yet and people are saying yep madden all over again . There is another content creator out there that has exposed the broken Coach Mode. Apparently in Coach Mode now, your QB will never take the ball himself on an option play, he ALWAYS hands it off to the RB. On a pass play, it doesn't matter how good of a scrambler your QB is, he will NOT take off and run. Sometimes he will not even pass the ball at all. He'll just stand there and take a sack. Other times he will rip the ball almost as soon as he gets it in his hands for an insta pick. Oddly enough, this was never an issue in NCAA14.

My sons are now playing CFB & complaining about the very things I use to several yrs ago. EA's sheer laziness as a game developer has literally spanned generations. All they did was throw on some new tires, new paint job, but once u popped the hood, still the same old busted engine.

After many many years of not purchasing EA games, they got me this year with CFB. Bill Walsh is still better. The game has potential but its stripped as you can tell. I think EA needs to start to fix football by stop using frostbite. Thats the 1st thing EA needs to do. Until that happens we will see broken AI and broken animations.
I’ve played three separate Dynasties (Duke, Hawaii, Mich St). In all three, around wk8, the QB, OL, RB1, and starting WRs lose their helmet graphics! No logo, no colors; just a blank slate white… 🤦♂️🤬 I deleted the game from PS5, reinstalled and updated… same damn thing with Boise St.
This game sold on hype alone. This a half ass finished game compared to the features we had in ncaa 14. My RTG experience as an Wr has been so bad. Maybe bcuz I play on heisman but the Ai QB is horrible, it’s not even playable. Any time the Ai have time to throw, the QB throws the ball to fast before I can’t even breakout my route. Running a C route for example results in a pick everytime bcuz he throw it strait to the defender as I’m breaking to the corner!
The big issues that I've seen in CFB so far are: 1. Improperly balanced skill levels. If you play on freshman or varsity, you'll easily smoke Georgia by 40 at halftime with a team like UTEP. Put it on All American though and UTEP will smoke you by 40 at the half even if you're using Georgia. The game isn't capable of scaling difficulty gradually. 2. If you play PVP, the game just goes on player ratings. If you play Ohio State against Minnesota for instance, Ohio State can just run verticals and get a touchdown EVERY PLAY because the game just says "the receiver is faster, you lose". 3. Dynasty mode doesn't know how to properly simulate a season. I've got I season 2 a Conference USA team at 8 - 3 in the Top 25. It had NC State go to the national title game in season one. It has a 2 loss MAC school in the Top 10. It has a 7 - 4 Florida State at #10. It can't properly Sim or rank teams at all which kills any chance of immersion.

I've had games with MAC schools where randomly guys will miss defensive alignments and I can burn them, but then games that should statistically be easy, you can't do anything right. The game just doesn't have any proper balancing at all. Gameplay or otherwise. In my last season it had Middle Tennessee State go 9-3 and make the playoff. It just makes no sense.

I'm no EA fanboy, Madden sucks , but Ncaa 25 is the best sports game EA has made, maybe ever, yes they might not fix big issues but would you really have no game, or have a game? The game play is better than madden, not by a long shot, but still better. Recruiting is so good and more in depth than the past ones. Updates will fix this game and make it better and maybe they do something like every other year they put a game out so they actually have time. I noticed some players teleporting this morning when i played, which wasnt something i noticed before. Granted teleporting may be a bit strong of a word, but DB being on outside shoulder behind the WR to being inside shoulder ahead of the WR allowing them to deflect a pass was insane. It was a quick transition so it looked like teleportation. It definitely wasnt realistic. Had another DB two yards behind a WR get warp drived in front of the WR as the ball approached, leading to an INT. And the ball was even leading the WR. All this was on varsity difficulty

I kid you not, I had dudes trying to argue with me when I said ncaa24 was just madden but with different teams and a college football atmospheric feel, but that the gameplay would be eerily similar to maddens and that the same problems would persist because both are utilizing an engine not made for physics based American football. They chewed me a new one stating that I'm wrong and the developers for ncaa24 were and are better than the developers for madden. I immediately left that comment section because you can't logically argue with stupidity.

I believed the hype for NCAA 25 but im done with EA Sports. Too many flawed releases that still need work. Its almost like they lack common sense. They keep sugar coating shit and not fixing really anything. EA does great with trailers that fool you into buying a below average game. They need to get out of sports gaming altogether.. They are killing one of the best franchises if not all they have their hands on. We are fucxed.. 100 deluxe edition for shitty flaws..
I think I figured out the magic bullet to what’s causing this. It’s all in the settings and sliders so basically what I’ve discovered and this is only for off-line play. This has nothing to do with online play so keep that in mind. But the higher difficulty you put the game on what it actually does is it boost, the ratings of their players and it impedes the ratings of your players. So I did a little experiment and I did this with just CPU versus CPU. I put the game settings on varsity and also all American. I believe I took all the user sliders that matter not all of them but you know which ones I’m talking about and move them to 75 to 100. I took all the CPU sliders and moved them to seven or under, all of a sudden, my games are starting to play like they should play no more FCS playing shootouts with my SEC schools. Just try it. Just try it.

Don’t play this game on Heisman brotha. Even content creators are saying they play on all American, bc Heisman the sliders are hidden. It’s not just difficult, it’s nearly impossible.
This is also why they took away the ability to create your own plays from scratch. You used to be able to design all kinds of routes. The game is rigged with coding.

All you need to know is that in Madden (at least until 18 when I stopped giving them money), you could set the Pass Interference slider to 99 and still never see it called. In CFB 25, guess what? You can set the Pass Interference slider to 99 and it's still never called. This is not a coincidence. It's the same game being recycled every single year, and now it's been slapped with the College Football stamp. Things that have been issues for well over a decade are still issues now. They. Don't. Care.

Despite him hating NCAA 25, we all need a valid source to give us an honest review of the game, and the only way by doing that is to play it and then return it. Ryan, They basically just pre locking animating the physx .. half the time madden is very rarely in a "free state" of play. It does happen at times, like during fumbles thats when the glitches tend to happen. Madden every play is micro scripted. This can clearly be seen by the trained eye. Look for the patterns of animation, there is a sync that happens with all players...focus on the secondary is the easiest to spot and you will start to see it.
I grinded a cornerback that started on the bench as the 5th corner, grinded to become corner #1, had a 4.0 GPA and 9 interceptions in 6th and BOOM!!! ONE WEEK THEY RANDOMLY MOVED ME BACK TO CB 5!!!!!!! Instantly quit the RTG SMH!!
It is sad the EA pulled the wool over our eyes. There was a believability that the crew that worked on college football revamp was going to have the same power to make 25 better. It just shows that EA has complete control of making these games and refuse to actually fix them. Play will continue to send out copies of the same games each year
Myself and my coworker experienced this in Madden 24 and I just had it happen in CFB 25 as well. It's almost like the game is preventing a sack or pressure. In Madden I had just had 2 consecutive sacks with the player.

People claim it’s different than Madden, when last year Game Informer interviewed the senior producer at EA Orlando and he said Madden and CFB have a “Central football gameplay team” working on the core gameplay of both games lol, they need 2 different dev studios at this point. One issue, in my opinion, is EA purposely will never make a game with everything we want because then we are less likely to keep buying the next one. If its actually a great game then we would just download new/custom rosters instead of buying every year.

Was playing against Ohio State with Penn State their quarterback hiked the ball and it went 80 yards past him. No one reacted or moved so I come down to try to pick the ball up. My player goes into an animation where he won’t pick the ball up then all of a sudden here comes one of the Ohio State guys then my guy starts to run towards the ball then I pick up and score after 1 minute of clicking every button broken game

It's not the devs fault, it's EA's fault. The devs probably beg to get the resources to build a new engine. But EA doesn't want to spend the money. The devs can only do what EA asks to do.

After many many years of not purchasing EA games, they got me this year with CFB. Bill Walsh is still better. The game has potential but its stripped as you can tell. I think EA needs to start to fix football by stop using frostbite. Thats the 1st thing EA needs to do. Until that happens we will see broken AI and broken animations.
I’ve played three separate Dynasties (Duke, Hawaii, Mich St). In all three, around wk8, the QB, OL, RB1, and starting WRs lose their helmet graphics!

This game sold on hype alone. This a half ass finished game compared to the features we had in ncaa 14. My RTG experience as an Wr has been so bad. Maybe bcuz I play on heisman but the Ai QB is horrible, it’s not even playable. Any time the Ai have time to throw, the QB throws the ball to fast before I can’t even breakout my route. Running a C route for example results in a pick everytime bcuz he throw it strait to the defender as I’m breaking to the corner!
It’s to the point I just play offense only on college football.
Been doing this since Madden 20. Not worth the frustration, just watch defense play out, and see what you can do on offense. Way more fun!

The big issues that I've seen in CFB so far are:
1. Improperly balanced skill levels. If you play on freshman or varsity, you'll easily smoke Georgia by 40 at halftime with a team like UTEP. Put it on All American though and UTEP will smoke you by 40 at the half even if you're using Georgia. The game isn't capable of scaling difficulty gradually.
2. If you play PVP, the game just goes on player ratings. If you play Ohio State against Minnesota for instance, Ohio State can just run verticals and get a touchdown EVERY PLAY because the game just says "the receiver is faster, you lose".
3. Dynasty mode doesn't know how to properly simulate a season. I've got I season 2 a Conference USA team at 8 - 3 in the Top 25. It had NC State go to the national title game in season one. It has a 2 loss MAC school in the Top 10. It has a 7 - 4 Florida State at #10. It can't properly Sim or rank teams at all which kills any chance of immersion.
Weird because I play on All American and just beat Georgia with Iowa.

I've had games with MAC schools where randomly guys will miss defensive alignments and I can burn them, but then games that should statistically be easy, you can't do anything right. The game just doesn't have any proper balancing at all. Gameplay or otherwise. In my last season it had Middle Tennessee State go 9-3 and make the playoff. It just makes no sense.

I'm no EA fanboy, Madden sucks , but Ncaa 25 is the best sports game EA has made, maybe ever, yes they might not fix big issues but would you really have no game, or have a game? The game play is better than madden, not by a long shot, but still better. Recruiting is so good and more in depth than the past ones. Updates will fix this game and make it better and maybe they do something like every other year they put a game out so they actually have time. I give this game good 7.8/10. don't argue over a game Ryan, it's good that we at least got one.

fundamentals are flawed, then the whole game is flawed.
I noticed some players teleporting this morning when i played, which wasnt something i noticed before. Granted teleporting may be a bit strong of a word, but DB being on outside shoulder behind the WR to being inside shoulder ahead of the WR allowing them to deflect a pass was insane. It was a quick transition so it looked like teleportation. It definitely wasnt realistic. Had another DB two yards behind a WR get warp drived in front of the WR as the ball approached, leading to an INT. And the ball was even leading the WR. All this was on varsity difficulty

I kid you not, I had dudes trying to argue with me when I said ncaa24 was just madden but with different teams and a college football atmospheric feel, but that the gameplay would be eerily similar to maddens and that the same problems would persist because both are utilizing an engine not made for physics based American football. They chewed me a new one stating that I'm wrong and the developers for ncaa24 were and are better than the developers for madden. I immediately left that comment section because you can't logically argue with stupidity.

I believed the hype for NCAA 25 but im done with EA Sports. Too many flawed releases that still need work. Its almost like they lack common sense. They keep sugar coating shit and not fixing really anything. EA does great with trailers that fool you into buying a below average game. They need to get out of sports gaming altogether.. I think I figured out the magic bullet to what’s causing this. It’s all in the settings and sliders so basically what I’ve discovered and this is only for off-line play. This has nothing to do with online play so keep that in mind. But the higher difficulty you put the game on what it actually does is it boost, the ratings of their players and it impedes the ratings of your players. So I did a little experiment and I did this with just CPU versus CPU. I put the game settings on varsity and also all American. I believe I took all the user sliders that matter not all of them but you know which ones I’m talking about and move them to 75 to 100. I took all the CPU sliders and moved them to seven or under, all of a sudden, my games are starting to play like they should play no more FCS playing shootouts with my SEC schools. Just try it. Just try it.
I got 60 plus hours on madden 24 regardless , this is NOT a reskin I promise !

The last Madden I brought and played was 20. I watch your videos to affirm why i will never buy another EA sports-based game, no matter the sport.

All you need to know is that in Madden (at least until 18 when I stopped giving them money), you could set the Pass Interference slider to 99 and still never see it called. In CFB 25, guess what? You can set the Pass Interference slider to 99 and it's still never called. This is not a coincidence. It's the same game being recycled every single year, and now it's been slapped with the College Football stamp. Things that have been issues for well over a decade are still issues now. They. Don't. Care.

They basically just pre locking animating the physx .. half the time madden is very rarely in a "free state" of play. It does happen at times, like during fumbles thats when the glitches tend to happen. Madden every play is micro scripted. This can clearly be seen by the trained eye. Look for the patterns of animation, there is a sync that happens with all players...focus on the secondary is the easiest to spot and you will start to see it.
I grinded a cornerback that started on the bench as the 5th corner, grinded to become corner #1, had a 4.0 GPA and 9 interceptions in 6th and BOOM!!! ONE WEEK THEY RANDOMLY MOVED ME BACK TO CB 5!!!!!!! Instantly quit the RTG SMH!!

It is sad the EA pulled the wool over our eyes. There was a believability that the crew that worked on college football revamp was going to have the same power to make 25 better. Myself and my coworker experienced this in Madden 24 and I just had it happen in CFB 25 as well. It's almost like the game is preventing a sack or pressure. In Madden I had just had 2 consecutive sacks with the player.

People claim it’s different than Madden, when last year Game Informer interviewed the senior producer at EA Orlando and he said Madden and CFB have a “Central football gameplay team” working on the core gameplay of both games lol, they need 2 different dev studios at this point. Can’t have 2 teams at one studio making two yearly games all at once

One issue, in my opinion, is EA purposely will never make a game with everything we want because then we are less likely to keep buying the next one. If its actually a great game then we would just download new/custom rosters instead of buying every year.

Was playing against Ohio State with Penn State their quarterback hiked the ball and it went 80 yards past him. No one reacted or moved so I come down to try to pick the ball up. My player goes into an animation where he won’t pick the ball up then all of a sudden here comes one of the Ohio State guys then my guy starts to run towards the ball then I pick up and score after 1 minute of clicking every button broken game
