Sharks are attacking from east coast Florida all the way up to Long Island and Gulf of Florida- 4 in one day last week. The real problem is the Gulf and Atlantic are at record heat. In hot ocean water sharks use more energy, metabolism spikes and they need to eat more food. At the same time less food is available - so they are more likely to turn to alternative sources of 'protein'.

I have spent a fair amount of times fishing along the coast of NC . Mostly surf fishing but some pier fishing . You can see a lot of critters down in the water , standing on the pier , which you can't see from the beach . My point . Drum roll . Vacationers for some reason feel safe if they are swimming near a pier . Big mistake especially if fishermen are on the pier throwing chum in the water to attract fish . Sometimes the oil slick from the chum attract really big fish with teeth . I have heard of people being Vacationers will sometimes sit under the pier to get out of the sun , then run out and jump in the ocean . Sounds good .

Only been in the ocean once. It was at Padre Island back in the 70’s. The water was cold and murky. Got in up to my waist with my siblings, got the creeps, not an enjoyable experience at all. I got out after a few minutes. So did everyone else. There was a huge pier right next to where we went in. We all went walking on the pier, which had little kiosks, shells, hats, etc. When we got to the end there were several men cutting up whole tuna fish and putting huge pieces on hooks and throwing it into the water on ropes. My brother asked what they were fishing for and they said sharks. A big meat hook, meat and long ropes. None of us went back in the water while there. Ive never been back in the ocean.

We were literally in an active war throughout Trump’s presidency in Afghanistan, which Biden ended. We have freedom of speech. Trump had a chance to reduce taxes for the working class, but only offered a temporary tax cut for us. But he did permanently cut taxes for his billionaire buddies which the rest of us now have to figure out how to pay and increased our deficit by 25%, more than any president in our history. Nobody should be depending on tips for a livable wage. The wealthy used tips to pay ex-slaves something that wasn’t a full wage. If your employer can’t afford to pay their employees, they do not deserve you, and they have no business running a business if you are being exploited. Demand better from your employer and yourself. Be fearless. You can do it! That’s a huge pass on Trump. I’ll vote for people who defend the constitution. Anyway, this video is about the shark incidents.
