Great Interview! I like how he takes his shop serious like a business. The only thing I didn’t like was him forcing his barbers to be like cooperate 9-5 style.

Frizzy Fresh exactly...I wouldn't ever want to work at his shop

When I graduated, I didn't have any intention of working in a barber shop, but I went against my intent for a couple of reasons and worked in 2 different shops. One of the places that I worked at, the owner was a real weirdo, actually both of the places that I worked at. Of course it didn't last long, but what you said here, reminded me of the second barber shop. As he was the type that always wanted you to go the extra mile (be there for hours on hours wasting your time), only to take money from your check and expect that you wouldn't and shouldn't approach him about it. He loved to revert to ( the good ole "be a team player" manipulation) even though he never kept his word, thought that his shop was the best thing since slice bread (even though it was a great shop/design) and felt like I would do every and anything to work there. He thought he was a great manipulator and actually had no respect for the people that worked around him, but pretended to. What was interesting about that environment was everyone was using everyone and being passive aggressive and polite about it. When I came to interview for the position, the owner was getting a facial by one of the employees and a customer was sitting there waiting for his haircut. What caught me by surprise was I was there for about 20 minutes and he still was waiting. The guy kept asking me about his hair cut and I was like, I don't even work here............. but it was at that very moment that I knew that I would have problems there, being that who has a client sit and wait so long. Which basically confirms the quality of professionalism that was present. Plus it was obvious to me that his facial was more important than a scheduled interview or tending to his client. I ended up cutting the guys hair because for one I wanted to and second in order to show my skill set. The guy as Japanese and he was so humble and thankful, (although I can sense he was scared because I'm a woman and he probably felt based on me telling him that I don't work there, why was I now cutting his hair, I made sure that I gave him a great cut. That greedy owner collected the money and even though in my heart I knew that I wasn't going to last there for long, I still worked there, as I had other reasons for moving forward to work there. I get that people invest their money because they want to make money and or get rich. But some people just don't know how to respect others, they don't make any sense and at times demand too much, and will never behave fair in return.

i like how he puts emphasis on Professionalism & family oriented atmosphere.... these barbers that have stupid music blasting & a bad attitude will not last long nor will they see growth in their business.

Danny exposed his ex boss's tardiness at 21, by getting his own land line in the barber shop he was working at to lead by example

My man here IS dropping jewels I did hear a few contradictions tho or conflicting statements. "People steal and OverSaturate", but "He stepped out on a ledge and implemented the mustache and beard game", Althawhile he visits Cali and become exposed to the style himself! No biggie, I'm just being Antylytical! #NoHatehereneither, Lastly, the StructurE of a barbershop is hella Vital to the success and life of it, True!!! The shop owner AnD operators should uphold a certain level of professionalism. But hey, a barber shop aint Walmart and Walmart aint a barbershop. Bro, running a bidness but He's not Paying them men, Operators/barbers! Bruh, this is bidness is $elfMade and Paid,, Jack! What mf benefits "your company" provide. DO YOU offer Health, Dental, or anything???? U must have lil boys or young men working in yo shop. Anyway, I've typed enough and spoke my peace! #RespectthePROCESS! #JB501

In California it doesn’t work that way , most barbers get W 1099 so I pay my taxes , the owner doesn’t do any think for me I make money for him so I not his property whenever I need a day off I will take it regardless he likes or not but I will let him know that I need to take days off and is not easy find barber to do what you want the way you like if they know how to do the job and customer come back is what matters I don’t think how fancy your clothes look make any better the haircut is what matters and a clean area and desinfectan tools , Danny barber are not yours slaves who do you think you are , good like if you fine barber not in California!!!
