(In no way am I defending Chris Brown) I believe had they really opened up to Iyanla some of the things Chris spoken on her may have been true and we wouldn’t of looked at her as innocently as we have in her relationship. K's management wanted her to stay relevant and use the moment so don't come for Iyanla when you thought it would have been beneficial. I think you missed the point...What they were trying to explain is that this was meant to be an INTERVIEW....not a Fix My Life segment....so Iyanla should have approached Karrachue in an interview session for OWN......not approach Karrueche as if she was doing a segment on the "Fix My Life" show. She tried to do all of the healing and tough love stuff but this was the wrong setting for it....her job here was to ask questions and get answers.....but then she became confrontational.
Umm, Iyanla from Brooklyn too, she is unbothered! K's manager is an idiot if he thought he was going to put someone in front of Iyanla and think she's going to let you stay in your comfort zone. Trying to come for iyanla is not it boo! She reigns supreme. She is an educated, experienced, decorated life coach, I think she knows what is necessary.

Karreuche had no issue dealing with an abusive man until he started treating her the same. Iyanla never attacked her she just didn't sit there giving her praise and points telling her how strong she was for getting with a man that already had visible issues but had coin to balance it out. If your going to go fix your life then fix YOUR life. Chris Browns hangups was all over the news every week every fight every vulgar rant so it's not like she was blindsided she just didn't care because it was towards others and not her at first and he was financing. Honestly, Karruche, the Iyanla set humanized you in a way that was relatable and it felt needed. I think management may have not realized what or whom Iyanla Vanzant and Co., does. It was a good look. Jacob is right it was good but it was misunderstood bc no one understood Iyanla's platform. No one can heal in a condensed show. It begins the healing process. I learned a lot about Karrueche Tran and her strength as a young woman.
I really like Angie's approach to this interview. She was so nonjudgemental and willing to ask her questions other interviewers shy away from.
Saw the Iyanla interview and if what Jacob says is true, everyone did a good job acting. Karrueche and Iyanla. They cried & hugged it out. I remember seeing the end and thinking Karrueche was well on her way to fixing her life. Now all of a sudden Iyanla is fake and pretends to help? Everyone isn't ready to face the issues in their lives. Karrueche isn't. And her manager will ensure that. Plus that interview was year's ago. Therapy should have resolved that entire issue with Chris Brown and her manager should make sure that no one questions her about it. But who would do that when that is the reason she has a platform today?
The thing is ilyanla is very upfront in the way she goes about things. She's straight to the point. I've been a fan of ilyanla for years... Kerruche knew bout her ex and went there... As ilyanla has said if some one shows who they are believe them! She has to take some form of responsibility for role... Im not saying her ex was right what he did... Her ex is a very angry man who needs help. But she needs to be aware that she went into the relationship knowing what he had done previously to Rihanna... Anybody who thinks Iyanla was any different than she is with anyone else doesn't understand what it takes to get to the truth.
If her manager wanted to protect her from seeming human and keep her as just an image then he shouldn't have let her go on the show! Whether she was on an interview with Iyanla or Iyanla: Fix My Life, she and her team were being delusional if they thought that Iyanla was going to be a typical interviewer! She is about healing and that starts with telling the truth. Karrueche just wasn't ready to tell the truth.
The whole first half of the interview, Iyanla was still trying to get her to be vulnerable. Karrueche was prettying everything up and trying to give the "right" or "mature" sounding answers. This is not how you get to the root of a problem. All people know that we lie to ourselves so if somebody is trying to help, they're not going to allow you to bullshit like you do with yourself.
The things that they talked about and what it ended up revealing about Karrueche is that she has gone through exactly what every other woman has gone through. She let a man treat her less than she deserved and her self betrayal at allowing it was what hurt her the most. That is the hardest thing to admit to oneself and especially to others. We try to blame the other person who cheated on us or let us down in whatever way, but the truth about our hurt is the self betrayal and embarrassment of "How could I let someone treat me like this", especially if you go back more than once.
I thought Karrueche did great. It's obvious that she wasn't comfortable being vulnerable but people don't give the truth enough credit. When you tell the embarrassing truth in front of other people, especially confidently, people give you much respect. It not only help people identify with you but if they've been in a similar situation and they see someone else admitting similar actions with confidence, it helps them to see that it's OK like, "if they don't look bad and weak saying it then I won't" because somewhere inside you see that the real strength and courage is in being able to be vulnerable, not hiding it! Hiding takes no courage at all!
Like Iyanla said, she did great and was very courageous! She may be too young to understand it right now, because the judgement of peers when you're young is so harsh, but when she looks back she will be proud of her own courage!

Inyala is somewhat of a bully and disrespectful. Iyanla tries to force people into to saying or feeling how she feels they should be reacting. She is no more insightful than any other intelligent person, the only difference is she has a show and screams in people faces more.
I realize Jacob is "trying" to have her back, as a manager should, but DAMN, let her discuss and reveal what SHE wants in this interview. You could tell she got really uncomfortable, possibly upset with him doing so much talking but since they are in front of cameras she did not say a thing, just looked down the whole time. I guess if he was the one that put Iyanla out of the house maybe he has assumed the role of Billy Badass but Karruche should not let him take that much liberty. He doing a little too much esp when he said "she just found out her man had a baby behind her back"...that took the cake for me. She needs to learn how to take control of the conversation and re direct.
It's in most women nature to hate on women whom are more beautiful or successful than them. No matter how nice of a person she is her mere existence as a fit beautiful young woman will enrage the hearts of most women. Just read the comments below. Regardless of how she acquired her fame she is a classy lady who deserve respect.

Iyanla tried to force her to say things and feel things in that interview constantly stopping her from her thoughts because she didn't agree with what karreuche was saying . I completely agree with her manager because iyanla looked like she tried to humiliate her .
I am a master life coach and I own a coach training facility. I use videos of Iyanla fix my life as training tools to show what NOT to do as a certified coach. Therapist, counsellors, mentors have skill sets that do not follow coaching ethics and regulations. I am passionate about coaching and I often cringe when watching the youtube videos of her shows.

I also don't understand why people go on Iyanla and don't want to be rebuked and accountable for their mess. Have they not seen her show? Now I don't agree with every method Iyanla uses and I do Believe she will go to some uncomfortable places for the sake of ratings, hello it's a T.V. show. Let's face it nobody likes correction it doesn't feel good, but you can take the lesson and be better. I like Karrueche but she was disingenuous about her true intentions of doing the Iyanla Show, She thought Iyanla was an Interviewer who she and her manager could have control, she is not she is a mental health healer, one of the few out there that will actually hold you accountable and make you face the truth, a lot of people rather live a lie because it is easier than the truth, but the truth does set you free I am speaking from personal experience.The first step to healing and fixing your life is Acknowledgement, she didn't do that till Iyanla pointed it out that she was only trying to change/fix Chris Brown when she was broken herself. You have to be honest with yourself and clearly Karrueche was not being honest with herself, Iyanla or her viewers. Just my point of view.
