@@vanessacosta4906 Chris said so in an interview. He couldn't release it without her permission. He wanted to make sure Rihanna was okay with it first. I don't spread fake stories, I have better things to do.
i love the way he says she reacted like that because she was upset and he didn’t play victim at all. they were both just too young and didn’t heal from their childhood traumas. i love them both as a human being.
@@kevin1seven923what’s your point bc you don’t either. lol you don’t have to know them to understand basic psychology or to understand how trauma can affect someone when they start to navigate their own relationships in life.
doesn’t matter who started it, it was fault on both sides. it’s crazy how the media puts all the blame on chris. these 2 were in a bad toxic relationship.
After hearing this, I now see Rihanna was just as in the wrong as he was. It shows just how young men's lives can get destroyed due to these double standards. I feel bad for what he's gone through.

@Mona Noella. I remember she didn't tell it all since it was her cousin's business but she definitely spilled that Rih would hit Chris first every time and that's how shit would start. Like in Barbados during Christmas time, I guess Rih got mad at Chris about something and she slapped him and he just looked at her like she was crazy so she slapped him again. Noella had to stop the fight before it got worse. There was a lot of stories back then and of course you never knew if the stories were true or not but Noella did feel bad for Chris because she always thought Chris was head over heels in love with her cousin and she didn't want Rih to run him off.
@Mona And I know you didn't ask but it's crazy because Chris actually just posted Noella and some of Rih's other cousins on his IG story a few days ago. It was a clip of them listening to his song on IG live. They're all still so supportive of him. Noella said "Chris! that's family, always."

And Rihanna gave permission to Chris to do this documentary and narrate what truly happened almost 10 years later 3) his narration fits perfectly with the injuries she has suffered 4) Rihanna’s cousin came out and said she WAS abusive towards Chris
As a woman who has experienced domestic violence, I really appreciate his raw honesty. Its nice to hear a man take responsibility for his actions, and truly be sorry for what he did. He's not placing blame on Rihanna, and that says so much about who he is as a man.

Right. I wish more people took domestic abuse from both sides seriously. Respect needs to be mutual. I just hate that this whole situation happened and hope they both continue to grow and do well.
@@milesmorales6305 tbh I don't consider myself as being a good person and if I had been in that situation I'd totally do the same, I feel like he may just have been smart enough to understand that there is no point in fighting back or running away when they were one of the hottest celebrity couples back then and when her face quite litterally is proof. I aint saying that that is the case I obviously don't know what he was thinking at the time, but I'm just saying if I had been him and even if I didn't feel any regret at the time I'd probably turn myself in and plead guilty. I wouldn't hit my girl to the point her face looks like that in the first place though so I guess there is no point speculating.

They both were in the wrong in this situation. Not to mention they were both extremely young during this time and they both grew up in abusive households. Im extremely happy that this doc came out and im happy that she agreed to it.
Bro I wish people would take into account their abusive households, and their past trauma. Chris brown doesn’t have a malice bone in his body to me. Rihanna and Chris we’re both wrong, but Chris took the wrap, that broke breaks my heart. Chris brown and Rihanna weren’t healed and got thrown into the industry young. We need to allow Chris brown to be seen in a different light. When we don’t heal from our traumas ladies and gentlemen that will show up in our relationships.
People are giving him too many excuses. I didn't know she tried attacking him either, but the fuck? There was a huge difference. They said he even practiced martial arts, he's a dude, he literally beat her ass left and right and people are still crying "I want them to get back together". Some people should avoid reproducing, for the sake of all of humanity.
wrong or not you know as a female if you keep hitting a dude repeatedly instead of keeping your hands to yourself you can enrage a dude and due to that some dudes will defend themselves real shii 💯
yeah that were both wrong but being young and age ain’t gotta do with anything yk your actions and right and wrong. Parents don’t have no influence on anything you do you chose to do what you do right or wrong end of the day.
Even though what Chris did was wrong he still took the high road rather than dragging Rihanna's name down. I really respect him because of that and I know realize it was just a young couple in love
m8 in that situation you have to take the high road lmao. You really think Chris Brown going full offensive after Rihanna situation would had benefit him, lol no. Everyone hated Chris Brown, and I can guarantee if he tried dragging Rihanna name down, It would only worsen Chris brown much more.
Don’t claim you care about domestic abuse and equality if you only demonise Chris and not Rihanna. I love them both, but they were toxic to each other. They could’ve been a happy couple but they didn’t meet at the right time of their lives. I’m not justifying Chris’s actions, but I also don’t ignore Rihanna’s part either. Edit: I admit I come off as tone deaf to the incident and for that, I should clarify that I’m speaking exclusively about the relationship before the incident. I will never justify or dismiss the incident because it (nor Chris) should not have gone that far and Rihanna did not deserve a beating no matter how she behaved/reacted etc. My problem is some of you have no problem demonizing Chris (as you should, because what he did horrible) but yet turn a blind eye to how toxic that relationship was to begin with on *both* ends. One was abusive, and the other was jealous. I don’t need to emphasize who was worse for obvious reasons but let’s not pretend it was peaches and cream and act shocked that it happened.
@@meganmarino2012 that’s true that it can be one sided, but this relationship in particular was toxic from both ends. Chris was just the one who retaliated in the absolute worse way.

I’ve always adored Chris Brown. Now I understand what happened back in the day with the battery against Rhianna. I believe they still love one another but know they’re in different spaces in their lives. His story hits home. I also believe his account of what transpired and I’m glad he took ownership of his actions. That situation is a nightmare for both but will serve as a lesson to everyone involved as to when a relationship becomes toxic.

@@RoyalCam9 Chris’s side of the story is valid so I’m gonna give an in-depth analysis & a couple of reasons why I believe he’s telling the truth: 1.) Several reports came foward in 2016(this was before the documentary was released btw) that Chris had gotten Rihanna’s blessings to talk about the incident in his documentary (this makes sense especially since he used clips of her interviews that would have to be cleared by her team). Make of that what you will but if you don’t believe that you should realize that Rihanna could’ve easily sued Chris for defamation of character if he was lying(which she hasn’t). 2.) Tina Davis-The person he said “worked for him at the time” was his ex-manager Tina Davis who was reportedly sleeping with him when he was still a teenager while she was in her late 30’s. That checks out especially since there were several rumors about their relations and the fight started because of a text message from her. 3.) Childhood Trauma & Abuse- Chris was definitely telling the truth about how his Mom’s ex-boyfriend used to abuse her especially since he discussed it in earlier interviews before the incident occurred & most notably his interview with Larry King(September 3, 2009) on CNN(Larry literally questioned Chris’s mom about it and she was crying and said she felt guilty about not leaving him sooner). In that same Larry King interview Chris says that out of respect for Rihanna & his privacy he didn’t want to disclose what led to the altercation & what happened during it(checks out since he said this is the first time he got to speak on it). Chris saying his step-father shot himself and lost his sight also checks out considering he spoke out and confirmed that he did that which is why he lost his vision(the video is on TH-cam in case you don’t believe me). WARNING GRAPHIC info.: The Ex-boyfriend was literally gaslighting her and tried to make excuses by saying he “tripped” and “accidentally” made her nose bleed. So that Checks out 4.) Chris gave an accurate account of most of the injuries she sustained during the incident most notably her busted lip, the bite marks on her arm(Rihanna was describing her injuries in her interview with Diane Sawyer and said he bit her arm but conveniently left out the part where grabbed his manhood and spit on him)and the bumps on her head. She also said in that same interview that she “caught him in a lie” & “fended him off with my feet” which also checks out cause Chris said she tried to kick him and thought he was lying to her. The instances Chris said they were fighting each other before the incident check out as well cause they reportedly had 2 undocumented physical altercations(on mutual sides one incident happened in Europe & the other in the Barbados)before the altercation in the car happened. He said she yelled out of the window for help window and that checks out as well since a nearby neighbor heard her and called the police. Chris also said he turned himself in the next day after the incident which checks out as well(the incident took place on Sunday February 8, 2009 @12:30a.m. Chris turned himself in that same day). Chris definitely went overboard and the hate he receives for assaulting her is deserved but the fact that she played a part in the fight and acted like she did nothing isn’t right. 5.) He plead guilty, admitted what he did wrong, and his side of the story makes sense. What would he gain by lying?!? A defamation lawsuit & 10 times more hate than he already receives. It’s completely reasonable to hate him but to say he’s lying about his side of the story despite all these facts & consistent details is crazy.

If you hit a man expect him to hit back. Men are not punching bags 😔I really think Ri should've openly been accountable for her part in this. I say this as a Fan of Ri. Her behaviour was not okay.
No its not that way at all, we are stronger and physically tougher. Most of the time the girl isnt even a threat. If you are not at risk of serious injury you dont hit back, period. You dont go beating the shit out of anyone, man or woman, just because they hut you. If you are not in jeopardy it is not justified. This it 2021, we are not children, we are adults. Act like it. You outgrow pointless vioñence when you turn like 6

@ H I'm pretty sure that b**ch was watching the news and eating popcorn on her couch and enjoying the reality show all through 2009 and thinking, "Good thing it ain't me." 😅😅😅😅
@ Shxna O Nobody is excusing his actions! We know what he did was wrong, and so does Chris himself. However, the fact that Rihanna was throwing punches at him first and stayed with him despite having previous problems with him (prior to the beating incident in 2009), makes her partly responsible. It's never ok ANYONE, male or female to put their hands on anyone! PERIOD! If Rihanna was mad, she could've walked away and ended with relationship without getting physical. Also, any woman in their right minds should know better than to stay with an abuser. As a rich and famous celebrity, she had enough resources to completely leave him for good and put a restraining order on him. Instead she got back together with him not once, but MULTIPLE TIMES!!
My heart breaks watching this the same way I hurt when I saw her pics and her interview with Oprah. I know they still love each other. They realize they are better as friends.
I think Chris & Rihanna are the perfect example of love vs compatibility. You can truly love someone but not be compatible in a relationship. I believe they were too young; had not healed from their childhood traumas and didn’t bring out the best in each other. I respect him for owning up to his mistakes & it seems like he has grown from it. I’m also elated to currently see Rihanna in a healthy & happy relationship. I hope they’ve been able to find peace with each other after this. God bless both of them.
It's called a trauma bond.. Feels like love, because it feeds/ soothes an emotional need that's unmet. Like lack of self-worth etc.. Not that there's isn't love and care, but the core attraction is rooted in a trauma. That's why it will always yo-yo from magic to misery.
it was never really brought to light that she was hitting him too. everyone made it sound like he just did it whenever he got mad. i feel bad that i judged him so bad when i was younger
Emmilee Shroyer it actually was talked about when it happened but everyone focused on her being the victim. But in my opinion they were both in a toxic relationship they both grew up being surrounded by domestic violence.
Geovanny Karina Granados so what? Of course he has the right to fight back, but not in that way she looked after that. That's not frkm 'just one' hit. Also, a man against a woman? Yeah, right..
STH 13 someone not all ...when they argue with a man they just want to sit there and poke poke poke and hit and a man tells. Em yo stop they keep nagging hitting they need to learn to calm TF down listen when someone tells the to stop because people loose it! If they've already told you to chill them chill man people will have. A reaction. Of course no one deserves to be manhandled but the fact that she forgave him and got back with h after this for a lil while also shows where she was mentally. Then.

I'm literally in tears. I always knew something was different about their relationship and what happened that night. I'm glad he's finally opening up and shut everybody up who continues to talk negatively about him. Rihanna tried to explain it in her one song but people stay trying to bring Chris down, which seemingly led him to be more hard on himself. It's really unfortunate this all came about because of a lack of trust from a relationship and not knowing how to deal with it. I don't follow celebrities too often, but I pray he gets his blessing soon. I wish the best for him and Rihanna and his entire family.

@@RoyalCam9 how? Riri told the same exact story
@@RoyalCam9 a jealous female doesnt sound too far fetched. If he was a monster she wouldn't have gone back to him when she did.
I've seen someone tell a 10 minute lie (I was witness to the incendent) turn red, shiver and cry.
I trust no one.
Not saying this is not true Buttt
@@RoyalCam9 Chris’s side of the story is valid so I’m gonna give an in-depth analysis & a couple of reasons why I believe he’s telling the truth:
1.) Several reports came foward in 2016(this was before the documentary was released btw) that Chris had gotten Rihanna’s blessings to talk about the incident in his documentary (this makes sense especially since he used clips of her interviews that would have to be cleared by her team).
So that Checks out
4.) Chris gave an accurate account of most of the injuries she sustained during the incident most notably her busted lip, the bite marks on her arm(Rihanna was describing her injuries in her interview with Diane Sawyer and said he bit her arm but conveniently left out the part where grabbed his manhood and spit on him)and the bumps on her head.

He was the victim. She assaulted him, and while driving a vehicle.
He lied tho
A verbal argument ensured and Brown pulled the vehicle over on an unknown street, reached over Robyn F. with his right hand, opened the car door and attempted to force her out. Brown was unable to force Robyn F. out of the vehicle because she was wearing a seat belt. When he could not force her to exit, he took his right hand and shoved her head against the passenger window of the vehicle causing an approximate one inch raised circular contusion. Robyn F. turned to face Brown and he punched her in the face with his right hand while steering the vehicle with his left hand. The assault caused Robyn F's. mouth to fill with blood and blood to splatter all over her clothing and the interior of the vehicle. Brown looked at Robyn F. and stated "I'm going to beat the shit out of you when we get home! You wait and see!" Robyn F. picked up her cellular telephone and called her personal assistant, Jennifer at but she did not answer the telephone, but while her voicemail greeting was playing, Robyn F. pretended to talk to her and stated "I'm on my way home. Make sure the cops are there when I get there."(This statement was made while the greeting was playing and was not captured as a message). After Robyn F. faked the call, Brown looked at her and stated, "You just did the stupidest thing ever! Now I'm really going to kill you!" Brown resumed punching Robyn F. and she interlocked her fingers behind her head and brought her elbows forward to protect her face. She then bent over at the waist, placing her elbows and face near her lap in attempt to protect her face and head from the barrage of punches being levied upon her by Brown. Brown continued to punch Robyn F. on her left arm and hand causing her to suffer a contusion of her left triceps that was approximately two inches in diameter and numerous contusions on her left hand. @@CNNWANNABE that’s not true I’m a Breezy fan but chris is the one that ruined Rihanna’s face not Rihanna stop lying
Karrauche claimed he beat her up too? this is not growth but an abusive pattern and excuses
If you hit a man expect him to hit back. Men are not punching bags 😔I really think Ri should've openly been accountable for her part in this. I say this as a Fan of Ri. Her behaviour was not okay.
agreed, it wasn't okay in the slightestt
Women do not take responsibility for shit.. you must be young. Lmao
@@whysoseriouswhysoserious8753 I am almost 34 and I am a therapist. Taking responsibility is a personal choice irrespective of gender.
Emotionally in mature at 16 years old
No its not that way at all, we are stronger and physically tougher. You outgrow pointless vioñence when you turn like 6
Imagine being that one woman that was basically responsible for everything that happened between Chris and Riri
....oh the one that Chris asked not to show up...and she went and flossed all up in his face..to piss both of them off..that woman....she got her REVENGE...and messed up 2 very beautiful famous talented peoples situation...side chicks LUST to do things like this...she probably lives in secret ...happy that no one knows who she is...and in her private moments feels slightly amused that she got away with it.....this whole situation is interesting to me because he told some really big truths in this video...i am glad he spoke up his side of the story...because as everyone deep down knows...he didnt lump up RIHANNA...for nothing...what did SHE do...to provoke him to such....RAGE...
He and a R are responsible. NOBODY ELSE
@ H
I'm pretty sure that b**ch was watching the news and eating popcorn on her couch and enjoying the reality show all through 2009 and thinking, "Good thing it ain't me."
😅😅😅😅
are you fried? He is the one that cheated and beat tf out of Rihanna. Why are you defending an abuser?
@ Shxna O
Nobody is excusing his actions!
Kinda like Kim and Eminem. I believe they still love each other and are soul mates but just terrible together in a relationship
It's called a trauma bond.. Feels like love, because it feeds/ soothes an emotional need that's unmet. Like lack of self-worth etc.. Not that there's isn't love and care, but the core attraction is rooted in a trauma. That's why it will always yo-yo from magic to misery.

He has not grown 😂
He has not grown….he still beats on women lol
it was never really brought to light that she was hitting him too. everyone made it sound like he just did it whenever he got mad. i feel bad that i judged him so bad when i was younger
Emmilee Shroyer it actually was talked about when it happened but everyone focused on her being the victim. But in my opinion they were both in a toxic relationship they both grew up being surrounded by domestic violence.
Geovanny Karina Granados yeah i agree with you. i wish it didn’t get that far
Then.
that's why u can never look at just one side of the story no matter how dire it looks for either side
This left a black mark on his career for sure , Chris Brown suppose it be a bigger artist than what he is right now , he makes incredible music .
Facts, especially because of the fact that he's multi talented.
He is still huge of an artist internationally this was a bump in the road he had many platinum records after this. Trust he is good regardless.
Factz
his music decent ngl
Na.. The industry accepted Breezy again after his BET Michael Jackson tribute !!
The sad part is the media didn’t express enough how young they were
I wish Chris Brown could have said this years earlier.
The media and "fans" wouldn't have listened. Sad stuff.
Honestly I’ve always been mad that he never spoke up & i don’t think Rihanna has ever owned up to her shit which is so crazy to me.
@@KaiKai0 righttt they were both toxic, both sides at fault

Brown was driving a vehicle with Robyn F. as the front passenger on an unknown street in Los Angeles. Robyn F. picked up Brown's cellular phone and observed a three-page text message from a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with.
"A verbal argument ensued and Brown pulled the vehicle over on an unknown street, reached over Robyn F. with his right hand, opened the car door and attempted to force her out. Brown was unable to force Robyn F. out of the vehicle because she was wearing a seat belt. When he could not force her to exit, he took his right hand and shoved her head against he passenger window of the vehicle, causing an approximate one-inch raised circular contusion.
"Robyn F. turned to face Brown and he punched her in the left eye with his right hand. He then drove away in the vehicle and continued to punch her in the face with his right hand while steering the vehicle with his left hand. The assault caused Robyn F.'s mouth to fill with blood and blood to splatter all over her clothing and the interior of the vehicle.
"Brown looked at Robyn F. and stated, 'I'm going to beat the sh-- out of you when we get home! You wait and see!' "
The detective said "Robyn F." then used her cell phone to call her personal assistant Jennifer Rosales, who did not answer.
"Robyn F. pretended to talk to her and stated, 'I'm on my way home. Make sure the police are there when I get there.'
"After Robyn F. faked the call, Brown looked at her and stated, 'You just did the stupidest thing ever! Now I'm really going to kill you!'
"Brown resumed punching Robyn F. and she interlocked her fingers behind her head and brought her elbows forward to protect her face. She then bent over at the waist, placing her elbows and face near her lap in [an] attempt to protect her face and head from the barrage of punches being levied upon her by Brown.
"Brown continued to punch Robyn F. on her left arm and hand, causing her to suffer a contusion on her left triceps (sic) that was approximately two inches in diameter and numerous contusions on her left hand.
"Robyn F. then attempted to send a text message to her other personal assistant, Melissa Ford. Brown snatched the cellular telephone out of her hand and threw it out of the window onto an unknown street.

At the end of his statement, Andrews said Brown sent a text message nine days later apologizing.
"In the text message, Brown apologized for what he had done to Robyn F. and advised [Rihanna's assistant] Ford that he was going to get help."
I wish the best for him and Rihanna and his entire family.
llatresej Amen!!
I wept myself. You can tell he's delt with alot as a kid , it hurts badly.. 💔 And I'm not even a fan really but seeing him so humbly broken.. but Humbled ! That speaks volumes even in his low cracked Voice :'( ..poor Chris..
What song does she explain herself about this ??
Well Chris brown
What’s the song she explains the situation in?
Josh Kanner 1. Correct your grammar 2. Your opinion has no weight here so fuck off
I’m really glad that he’s honest about this situation. You rarely ever see people own up to these type of problems and accept accountability for what they did.
Hi how do you feel about this
I love how they have both forgiven each other and both grown for it. Both have taken accountability. I love it!
i guess the truth lies somewhere in the middle...whats weird is they both grew up in physically abusive homes

patricia pedercini who?
Well thats just most black homes tbh
