I remember when I was little that every time we went to Disneyland me and my sister would always go there when we got there. It was my whole Disneyland childhood.
I love how everyone here's all appreciative of this song. Meanwhile I'm here panicking revisiting this, because as a child I got stuck in this ride for 2 hours, maybe more, with the song never stopping.... Looping and looping and looping... Just the footage of the boat slowly entering the dark set me off.

I just saw it yesterday. You did an excellent job filming it especially since there is so much to see from both sides of the boat and it's impossible to catch it all. The audio is great. I felt like I was going throught the ride again when I watched this. Love the ride and love the song. It's got such a hopeful message! Thanks for posting it =)
When my brother graduated high school, all of the seniors went to Disneyland from like 7 pm to 6 am the next day, and at around 1 am he rode this ride about 4 times...I dont know how I would get the song out of my head after that...
Thank you for posting this. It took me back! I grew up in Torrance and anytime relatives visited we would go to Disneyland. Ugh, the old ticket stubs with the A tickets. Maybe a D ticket left if we were lucky. Oh the days in the 60's when I was a kid. I don't think kids today are appreciative on this one. Probably looks too cheesy for them. They wouldn't understand the technology at the time to operate and maintain such a wonder Disney completed. Pirates of the Carribean was brand new and as a fortunate teen I was secretly "allowed" a sneek peek at the control room. SHHHHH The computers at the time mind you took up a baseball field to the equivalent to the basic phone today! Thanks for sharing!

This ride was the Pepsi Pavilion at the 1964 World's Fair where I got to ride in it. Couldn't get the damn song out of my head since. Actually, this was a state of the art marvel in those days.
I had to stop at 5:45 because honestly it was actually hurting my ears and making me have a headache, I don't wanna imagine getting on this ride and getting stuck.
