Interview Sonja Silva with Aaliyah in Paris for film en Soundtrack Romeo Must Die Aaliyah Dana Haughton was an American singer and actress. She has been credited for helping to redefine contemporary R&B, pop and hip hop, earning her the nicknames the "Princess of R&B" and "Queen of Urban Pop On August 25, 2001, Aaliyah died at the age of 22 in an airplane accident in the Bahamas, when the overloaded aircraft she was traveling in crashed shortly after takeoff, killing all nine on board.

She had the number one song,number one movie,number one soundtrack and had just released her last album whish was number two but definitely on its way to being number one as well. She was cut down in her prime by what appears to be a murder.

Didn’t know that her self titled album was originally supposed to have come out in January be sadly it was pushed back wen she was on 106 & park in April 2001 she stated that the album was supposed to come out in June but pushed back again to being released in July that year imagine if her Uncle would’ve kept the original due date for the album release for January tho we still would have her with us
