ive been watching your italy vlogs and now i can safely say im a fan, you have such a fresh and positive attitude about life. im introverted myself and i decided to study abroad to italy this summer w my cc and have been binging vlogs to plan. the trip has been making me nervous but your vlogs content and your personality made it worthwhile and put me at ease
You're the best! I'm very excited for you. Learn how their transportation works first. That way you'll never feel lost to the extent that you'll be in danger. I got very nervous one Sunday when I didn't know the trams were on a different schedule and couldn't find a cab. other than that, everything felt very safe. Have the best time!!!
It's been my experience in Europe that the buses are never on time unless you're running late for one. Otherwise you're standing on a sidewalk for half an hour, so bring a book either hard copy or on your phone with you.
I have always wanted to travel to New places and to see the world because at the end of the day life is short and you should enjoy it and after watching Luca travel to Rome and I have a new found excitement for traveling :)
Thank you so so much for this advice! I’m pescatarian also and I love to be active, so this was valuable information to know! I’m obsessed with Italy and am looking into studying abroad there :)
Your every video of Italy was impressive ❤️ you captured and showed us every beautiful scenic happy fantasy fantastic moments of Italy 👍🏻🌟, Friend like you is hard to find in this world, AWESOME BEAUTIFUL SHINY GORGEOUS ITALY'S VIDEO 🌸🍁💟U
girlll as an italian that lives in milano and who travels often to roma i can 100% agree with you that transportation there IS HORRIFIC. In milan buses, trams, subways run every every 5 minutes max. It's excellent service, but roma...ehhhh 😱
When you want a bus to stop for you or your hailing a cab, put your arm up and say Eeeeeeeeee! A Vespa is also a cool way to get around the city. I'm assuming when you visited the Villa Borghese you didn't go into the Flaminian Quarter north of it. I wanted your review on the Ristorante Cuccurucu. Is there a Euro Final video, at the Piazza del Popolo coming, anyone wear a Giorgio Chiellini novelty nose?
Big stores are present and there are a lot of them, but never in the city center. In the downtown there are only little groceries, and that's good as it is
when u say the grocery stores are small, you must mean in the centre. if you go outside the cities a bit, the big coops are some of the biggest supermarkets i’ve ever seen!
Hello Luca, I really enjoy all your videos they are all inspiring and you are looking stunningly gorgeous. You provided wonderful information about your trip that is helpful. Do you plan to go back and live there in the near future??? Great to see in a relaxed environment, your smile as bright as the sun.
When do people typically study abroad? I’m a senior in high school this year, and I’ve always dreamed of going to Italy, but frankly the whole idea of it kinda scares me and I’ve already been accepted to colleges for the fall semester and I don’t want to back out of them now. I don’t think it’s a good idea to just take a random impulse and go study abroad right now, but I want to so bad.
Lots of colleges have study abroad programs. I am a Junior in college right now and I’ll be studying abroad next semester. You can always do it before you graduate college
I would definitely look into study abroad programs through your school. I’m planning on studying in Florence for a semester of my junior year through my school
Thanks so much! I would bring jeans/pants and a myriad of long sleeve layers that you can mix and match. Of course a warm coat and maybe boots if you have them. Too chilly for skirts. Need comfortable shoes so maybe a trainer of sorts. Buy accessories there to mix t all up😘
Okay hold up, if you consider 100€ expensive for a gym, how much do you actually have to pay in the US? As I'm from Europe, that's a pretty normal price to pay, especially in big cities
if you're going sightseeing somewhere nice and has a beautiful view is it better to go when the sun is about to go down like you said it's really hot considering it can drain your day or it's better to do it first thing in the morning?
I actually studied abroad for 4/5 months in Canada and it was the best experience ever ❤️😊 you don't have water fountains in the us? But I saw and used something like that in public buildings as I went to the us in 2016 ?😃😀 i mean it was not a Fontaine fountain but you could get drink water there for free
i‘m literally moving to Venice in 3 days for erasmus. Idk why i‘m so scared, i grew up in switzerland and since my dad is Italian, i went there like every other holiday. BUT NOW I‘M SUDDENLY TERRIFIED TO GO!? What if my wallet gets stolen? What if my roommates hate me? :D (I’m an overthinker)
I have a friend that did that. She studied strictly at EF Education First to learn Italian and then went to university. You would have to research all of the colleges in Italy first and figure out which fits your needs. For now I would work on language as much as possible
so can i go to school in Italy and it can be a school for people who speak English???? (ik that you would have to learn italian at one point ) sorry if this sounds dumb i just never hear anyone talk about it i would love if i can get a response !
I went to EF which is a language learning school. I had class for a few hours a day and for 5 days a week. I was there to learn to speak Italian. I met students who were American and were studying on campuses in Italy that their college was affiliated with. In that case they were taking courses other than language and I think it may have been in English but I'm not sure:)
i bought it there but i have read you can buy them or order them here before you go. also my phone i've learned has a dual sim card option so i could have actually had both.
Hi🥺I’m studying in rome right now it’s my first time and first month and I’m a lil anxious because I’m studying in italian and I have some probs with the language and I’m afraid this could be an disadvantage for me in my studies😭did the same thing happened to you and if yes how did u managed🥺💜thank u
I applaud your bravery. First of all, you already achieved a lot taking this HUGE leap of faith. I was in a different position. I was there to only study Italian. This is what I suggest, focus on how the universe is conspiring in your favor. Feel the feeling of how good it will be when you are successful in your course of study. Go about your work to the best of your ability knowing that in the end, miraculously you are successful. Work hard and have faith. Be grateful for the amazing opportunity and KNOW that you are going to be successful.....Pls report back to me🤗xoxo
@@itslucawhitaker awww thank you so so much I really appreciate it you’re so kind thank you so much for your words I wish you the best of this world 🥺❤️❤️❤️and I’m studying medicine btw😅💜
EF is a language school. You don't leave with a degree but I think you can test for fluency. You don't have to stay for a priod of time determined by someone else. If you want to study for 6 weeks or 2 weeks, it's up to you
You're White so i cannot ask you if you have ever faced racism but i have heared a lot about blatant rudeness and racist behaviour of people, have you ever heard such things from your friends which you can share please ?! Yes! I felt really safe. You will be great. Be smart about where you go and try to travel with a friend if you can and learn how to use the public transportation. learn how to get a taxi for when you need to get a ride and are not comfortable waiting for a tram or a bus. Have fun!!!
You’re one of the happiest persons I’ve observed... spiritually, physically, intellectually, relationships, emotions... nice balance
That is such an incredible complement. Thank you!
I loved your Italy vlogs! You’ve really inspired me to continue learning french so I can study/have a placement in Paris when I’m in uni :)
You can do it! Paris would be an incredible experience and I agree it would help a lot to be learning the language in France.
This is so helpful! I fly to Rome in about a month for an entire semester abroad. Thank you Luca!
Glad it was helpful! Have the best time!!!
I'm from Rome so if I can help you somehow, I am available for info or tips😉

Small correction, “coperto” is not the equivalent of a tip because, unlike tips, “coperto” goes straight to the pockets of the restaurant owner

I am eligible for a dual citizenship with Italy and I have family there so I should honestly look into studying there lol
I certainly would!!!
