I'm in junior high school and I want to join the basketball team. I played when am still 7 yrs old bit then switched to volleyball because it was much easier and there's just a few simple rules and because people says "oh she should be on the volleyball because only boys plays basketball " you know like that if you understands . But when I watched this video I was still shocked of how many rules does a sport (basketball) contains . And then I notice that I only know 3 rules 1.) Traveling 2.) Carrying 3.) Foul ( which literally mean in my opinion is hitting you or hurt you ) But I was so happy I watched this video thank you for making this video . Second, yes basketball has little more rules then volleyball, but you learn them slowly and looks like you already know major 3 rules. I would suggest you to keep playing basketball as well. Mohamed Behhar players are allowed to take two steps in the drive and they really stretch them legs on those steps so it makes it seem that way, but that’s what’s happening. The steps are definitely exaggerated, but to stay legal and not to travel or double dribble.

I assume you are talking about Pivot leg, I think you can't dribble while pivoting or in circular motion. But you can dribble the ball after moving in circle (if you just got the pass), but again can't dribble after you have stop dribbling to take circulation motion. Hope it answers your question.
I am thinking there are few wrongs with the explanation here. Traveling alows 2 steps and on the 3rd you have to bounce. This video also says you cant hold the ball in 2 hands to double dribble and then bounce it again in nba man players touch the ball with both hands to fake a shoot and then drive inside for lay up or dunk. So i dont know how this has come about.
Hi Aniket, thank you for the comment. I agree with you, that we can take 2 steps but I think it is only when you are making layup shots. I think it is a bit confusing in the video. I meant, while dribbling (not making layups), one can't take 2 steps. And about 2 hands, i think i said you can't dribble ball with two hands and when dribbling, once you hold the ball with two hands, you can't dribble again. If one does, its a foul. If it make sense to you.

I am thinking there are few wrongs with the explanation here. Traveling alows 2 steps and on the 3rd you have to bounce.
This video also says you cant hold the ball in 2 hands to double dribble and then bounce it again in nba man players touch the ball with both hands to fake a shoot and then drive inside for lay up or dunk.
So i dont know how this has come about.

Hi Aniket, thank you for the comment. I agree with you, that we can take 2 steps but I think it is only when you are making layup shots. I think it is a bit confusing in the video. I meant, while dribbling (not making layups), one can't take 2 steps.
And about 2 hands, i think i said you can't dribble ball with two hands and when dribbling, once you hold the ball with two hands, you can't dribble again. If one does, its a foul. If it make sense to you.
