- Today I went to every store in town looking for toilet paper, hand sanitizer and other essentials that I will need in the coming weeks. We even drove out of the state in our search! Check out the shopping trip and see the shocking lack of basic essentials!

In Australia some stores are having special opening hours for the elderly and disabled so they have a chance at getting what they need.
Here in the states it's basically a "dog eat dog" mentality... Can't afford healthcare? RIP🙏. Can't afford retirement despite working 50+ years? Sorry about your luck. Can't afford rent/mortgage/car payment etc because you can't even go to work?? Too bad, I hope you enjoy living on the streets

Faced the similar problem. Tried 5 retail, 2 hardware stores and even 2 gas stations for crappy 1 ply. Nothing. Gas station even had a padlock on the roll in the bathroom. Got home, asked my neighbor and told her I'd give her 10 bucks. She came back with a whole package, gave her the 10 and she even gave me 5 dollars change. So we truly do need to come together as neighbors and communities to look after each other. Wish everyone out there nothing but the best. Stay safe, stay healthy.
my next question is, how much Ammo is still available LOL you would think those that hoarding the stuff will have to protect their STASH???? lol people are funny with the panic mode. I also heard a guy and his brother near Boston. went out and bought up thousands of bottles of hand sanitiser and were charging up to 300 bucks on Amazon and were shut down by amazon thank god, and now he's whining he is stuck with 17,000 bottles that he can't sell.

Junk wax card wrappers are a great alternative. Much softer than cards and no nasty corners.

Try some Dollar Trees Jabs. It's the sleeper for these items all though we ran out at our store... It took way longer then most grocery stores. So check them out!
I work in retail and our stores main supplier is limiting all of their customers total order size simply because they dont have the manpower to pick their customers large orders. Good luck on your search for TP. My store ordered 150 cases for today just as we did all last week, but unfortunately today I received just 6 cases at 3:45AM.
Warehouse worker, in beer, recently in food supply, still with several friends there...there is no interruption in supply lines. We're loading trucks, and trucks are rolling. If you're panic buying more than you actually need, you're an asshat and part of the problem. If you're buying extra to resell at a large markup, you can get stuffed upside down with a cactus.

HEY, guys go on ebay and bid the items up or purchase and never pay. Those items will be worth nothing by the time they relist and get the fees back. They cant give you negative feedback anymore so who cares. Lets stand up to this garbage now.
This is why I buy the 1000 sheet per roll toilet paper. 1 roll lasts my family of 6 a week. I’m good for the next six months. I don’t understand the water thing though. It’s not like municipalities are shutting off water.
On a side note, it's funny how "Outbreak" is in the top 10 streamed movies on Netflix in the US this week. 🤪

Not surprised at all. I loooooooooove my country but I'm 49 I have been through 6 disasters and 2 east coast blackouts we are NOT exceptional just exceptionally stupid and inconsiderate. At the grocery store I went to, the only shortages were in Toilet paper and Hand sanitizer
Try to get there earlier in the morning. That is usually when the vendors restock the bread. And walmart workers often restock over night
It's like this all over the country it seems smh. We have plenty of resources. The problem is that panic hoarders are buying everything they see faster than supplies can be shipped and restocked. It's dumb. More stores need to limit the amounts people can purchase at one time. The problem is that stores are overwhelmed right now.
The only thing I stocked up on was diapers and wipes too.i already keep tones of food bc I have 5 kids all under 7 years old.
I told my kids only 1 square of toilet paper per bathroom use. I got some dirty looks.
tip for all in need, check the automotive section in walmart for RV toilet paper, most people don’t think about this so you may be in luck at your walmart

Try Amazon Prime Now at midnight. There is a limited amount of delivery slots so they have more in stock instead of everyone buying at once and should have new slots at midnight everyday.

People should of been prepared for this. I have everything I need for months. And I bought it weeks ago.

Not sure what it’s like yet in PA but in Ohio our schools are shut down until early to mid April with talks of possibly keeping shut down for the remainder of the year. Bars and restaurants are closed and a select few can remain open for delivery/carry out. No gatherings of more than 50 people. I went from full time to having to file for unemployment because my job shut down. It’s out of hand.

This is insane. Ill be the first to admit IF im wrong... But i think this panic is ridiculous. Logic...thinking for oneself....starting to become a thing of the past. Use common sense. Be safe. in new Hampshire my sister is an EMT medical personal so she responds to calls and she just got called in for a toilet paper fight at the local shaws about who got the last pack

Dude, cut the ties to bottled water. Spend a hundred bucks on a decent water filter and procure some glass bottles on ebay. Since switching my trash has decreased by over 50% and you save hundreds over the year.
I’m thinking in the short term there may be a bigger issue to restocking than available supplies sitting in warehouses. That is transportation. All the stores will be needing vastly more truckloads each week. Plus more from whatever manufacturers that can make or supply product. Probably a big bottleneck with drivers and those hours they can drive

Maybe when you were out doing your 2020 Topps series 1 Mega box or blaster video you should have been stocking up on cleaning and sanitizing products. Then when you were doing your 2020 Topps heritage Blaster review you would have realized supplies were dwindling.
Now when 2020 Topps opening day is released every store is sold out of everything!

Yup,,,,its been same here in Michigan ,,,,,try gas stations,there keeping it behind counter,,ask,,plus go late night,me and wife shopped at 1am,,they stock then,and less busy👍

The pandemonium is hitting here in Iowa. Our governor recommended our schools close for 4 weeks. I did manage to get some blaster boxes so I can open a pack or two a day.
Rinse your hands with a mixture of rubbing alcohol and hydrogen peroxide. Then rinse under the sink with water.
Corn on the cobb works as toilet paper. Just use it like your buttering it with a slice of bread.

We ended up investing in a bidet.
U think that is bad try working at those places. Most of not all of the employees have to wait until after they get off work to shop for their own families. If u want to shop for just shop in the mornings when the place opens up.
C'mon people why the panic buying and shopping? Customers running up & down the lanes in Costco. Customers bumping their carts and starting arguments... leading to fights. Saw 2 elderly women going at each other because one had more napkins and TP than the other. This isn't even the worse it can get. On the other hand pulled a Yordan Alavrez and Bo Bichette Rookie card in 1 Topps heritage pack

Just bought toilet paper today at a shoprite here in philly in my neighborhood without any issues
I went on ebay yesterday to look toilet paper "sold" items and people had bought 5 squares of toilet paper for 1.99. Not 5 rolls, 5 squares. The 4 packs were selling for 30 dollars or so.
Boxes of junk wax make great TP. Of course use all sources of news to wipe with.
