For example, legit artists, great thinkers of our time, and the like, all have their rungs in society. But if you're interested in this rising useless class and what it will take to "busy" them in the future, you can easily google historian Yuval Noah Harari's thoughts on it. "Useless class" is his terminology, not mine.
It's like climbing a mountain, reaching the peak, and seeing a larger mountain. In order to climb the larger mountain, we must first climb down the one we're on while also being sure of our path to the larger mountain and prepared for the next climb.
