this episode made me realize how perfectly executed the “extreme syphilis” bit in campaign 2 compared to this clusterfuck lmao
The moment "extreme syphilis" is a BETTER plot you know you're off the rails...

Marisha and Ashley are just dying at Travis' werewolf bit.
The moment Sam said "yes we are all sexual deviants" with FCG's exterme sincerity I had a flashback to "HonEY Did YOU TelL THeM ABouT OUr DIsEASe". It's like they're equally cursed but with opposidedelivery enegries
Every campaign we get at least one episode that is entirely unhinged for one reason or another. This episode though, it doesn't just take the cake, it stole the whole damn bakery. This. Was. Madness.
It's episode 44, and we've already gotten multiple unhinged episodes

Honestly the last three episodes have felt a bit unhinged and I’m here for it.
It happens after a break almost like clockwork. everyone is giddy to be back at the table and it's so much fun to watch.

You know, it's quite hard to see a man's soul leave his body but it was clearly captured here

And just a few episodes later they all lose it when Laura says a cookie is salty lol. I love this show so much.

Ever since Matt revealed Ludinus as the force behind the moon cult, i can see liam just wanting to get back in caleb and burn them all and restart the academy from the ground up
I am so hoping that we get to cross paths with at least Beau and Caleb as they chase down Ludinus and the CA. We got VM already, it would be so cool to see that thread continue.
@@cryofpaine i'm pretty sure that's what is going to happen honestly, beau and caleb will the the M9 character we will see in C3, probably essek since he visits caleb everynow and then
@@cryofpaine Me too! It is a very good excuse to see Caleb and Beau again. My thought also was, with Ashton, that we could also see Essek again.
(I haven't finished Campaign 2 yet, so I don't know the epilogue, I think I do know what happened between two hot wizard)

I was waiting for Matt to mention once things had calmed that Fearne has none of her gear anymore.
Later, it'll be retconned that Ashton finished what he was doing, tried to pick up their trail, found the stuff in that basement, cried, "What the fuck!?", picked it all up, left the house, caught up with them, gave them back their stuff, and once again cried, "What the EVERLIVING fuck!?".

The funniest part of this entire encounter was the fact that this is the plan they went with to deal with an Air Elemental.

@@Thinkingmakesitso.basically they had a side mission where farmers livestock were getting stolen and killed. They all illusion(? I can’t remember the spell name) and turned into cows.
I cannot tell you how hard it was to keep a straight face listening to this LIVE, at WORK.

It’s funny how Travis was clueless about ludinus earlier and then drops a very good point at the end. If you need at least 3 devices to trap and banish a god to another plane why wouldn’t you need 3 devices to unleash one(which it seems they are working on having)

When I tell someone why I like BellsHells more than Vox Machina and The M9, Im going to show them this episode.
100%. They're all great, but I feel like BH is really where they take off the shackles and just run with it. VM was playing it safe because everything was new - players that hadn't played at all when they started, switching to D&D from Pathfinder (wonder if they'll go back now with WotC's OGL debacle), and streaming a game live. So they had archetypal characters, stories, etc. M9, they kind of stepped away from that, letting themselves be a bit more creative, but still holding on to a few recognizable elements to people familiar with the fantasy genre, and not stray too much from VM so that it didn't scare away their existing fans. But Bells Hells is top tier, no holds barred "yes and". In the other two campaigns, there was usually one or two characters that I didn't vibe with as much (usually Sam's). But I love all the BH so much!

@@MadGameBoy I never did connect with Scanlan. Not that I disliked him, I just couldn't connect to him personally. Nott/Veth had to grow on me, but that's true of all the Mighty Nein (except Jester & Caduceus). Same with Tarry, though that was a lot faster. FCG is the only one I connected to immediately.
so we had the casino episode, then the lore dump episode, and now we have the combo. the circle of life

I have already watched the first 30 mins of this ep twice. first was SHOCK second was watching Matt's reactions. Now I see I need to watch for everyone's faces. OMG this was so funny.
That is why I've watched both previous campaigns at least 7 times fully and this one is going the same path 😅

I just realised, most of them have some form of ally-harming trait. Imogen has the mind ghost thing and maybe whatever other power she got, Laudna has fireball, Chetney can lose it as a werewolf, FCG can lose it in general and Fearne is just Fearne. All we need is Ashton to get some AOE from their subclass and Orym to get... something idk, in order for all of them to be able to accidentally harm their teammates.
Orym is playing the part of "The one that hurts people emotionally, because he's the target of these mishaps"

C2 - the extreme syphilis
C3 - s literal orgy being played out... kind of lol
Once you make a plan, you stick with it and that's what they did!
