I would have picked Brooke Simpson over her in a heartbeat. Brooke has a much more powerful voice and her performances are significantly more unique and her own, not just an echo of the original version of the songs she sings.
@@samuelskeete2144 If I had to guess it's probably due to copyright licensing. The Voice probably gets a limited license to use the music for 2 years and once that time is up, they either renew the license or take down the content that would infringe on the copyright.
What is crazy is she sang classical music in college as a soprano! She was having some issues with her throat during the voice that affected her range. I think she sounds her best at a lower range.
