There's not a ton to it. But knowing how to do basic video editing is helpful. Like syncing audio to video, or cutting out noisy bits. Also knowing how the equipment works before you buy it is probably important, the 3dio requires a separate recording device that I didn't know about when I bought. Luckily I had one, but I could've ended up spending another 100$. Or if you go blue yeti, your computer makes a lot of noise. So if you use it for recording make sure to dampen it with something. Or unplug case fans. Oh and make sure to listen to the mic at full gain to find any noise sources before recording. You can do that by just recording and letting it record the background.
I didn't start for quite a few videos, but I will be doing more in the future. Probably more than the not talking ones. I'm not sure if I will be doing purely talking as the trigger though.
