He plays IPL only for us, his fans. He is the backbone of the Chennai Super Kings. People want him to play t20I, but if he were playing right now, they would be the same people criticizing him, saying he's aged and should retire to give young players a chance. But some people say he only plays IPL for money, didn't perform well in the Indian team, retired early, and other things. However, the reason he continues to play IPL is to repay the love & respect his fans show for him. It would have been super easy for him to retire after winning the trophy last year, but the tough choice is to practice again for 7-8 months and play. Yet, he chooses this challenge for his fans who want to see him play. He mentioned this in the post-match presentation of the IPL Final 2023. He loves his fans so much, and so do we!!💛💛

Sanju Samson. I'm a North Indian and I still prefer to choose Samson over Rishabh Pant.
We did same mistake 2023, filling top order with RHBs.
Pant gives LHB & Middle/Finisher options.
DK gives Innovation/Finisher options.
Samson fits only at Top 3.

2. *Rishabh Pant* (Lefty opt, and goof at no. 5)
3. *Jitesh Sharma* (Batting at lower order and finisher)
4. *KL Rahul* ( Classy, flexible, can play at any position)
5. *Ishan Kishan* (Lefty, can play as backup opener)
6. *Dinesh Karthik* (experienced, the man can still be thr option)
India have WK option at every place in batting as well, whom do you think would be selected in India WC squad..!
If virat open I will go with samson with Surya at 4, shivam at 5, rinku at 6
If virat at 3, then Surya at 4, shivam at 5, rinku at 6 then Ishan

Kohli T20I Drawbacks:
Kohli is a SAME-SIDE-GOAL choice in indian t20i team on a good scoring day/pitch.
But need one guy like him in 11 as insurance to cover up team's unexpected bad day/tricky pitch.
Best option: open OR if one opener falls cheap - he go berserk in powerplay.
Insurance: If both openers falls cheap, have him at 3/4 to anchor
Floater: If openers give good start, have sky-dube @ 3-4 & ask kohli to finisher(after spin).
He is a sitting duck when spin is around - gets out OR slow scoring rate.
If he gets t20i 50 on a tricky pitch - india winning chances are more.
If he gets t20i 50 on a batting track - india winning chances are bit less.
If he gets t20i 100 on a batting track - india loosing is almost confirm.
OVERALL he should play for scoring-rate not for 50/100.
