Nice guitar. Your playing is pleasant too. I just sent my 2003 Taylor 600 SPEC, which is a combo of Koa and Maple, to El Cajon to get the EXP 2 sound system. I might have to add a 12 fret cutaway electric to my guitar collection. :)
Hi! Would you recommend the 622ce 12 fret as a singer-songwriter guitar and a stage guitar as well? Please tell what do you think about it! I’m thinking of buying that guitar.
I purchased the 612ce 12 fret (x-brace) about a year and a half ago. I find that my vocals blend well with this guitar. It is a maple guitar that has great note transparency with the added warmth from a combination of it being a 12 fret, having a torrified Sitka spruce top and having the advanced performance bracing. The bracing has also extended the bass frequencies which in my opinion is one of the best attributes of this guitar. If you are a finger style guitar player, you will excel with this guitar. That is the main reason I bought it. It also sounds great strumming, but it lacks the girth you would find in a 14 fret. 12 frets tend to have a sweeter sound and I believe this guitar complements vocal frequencies well. I upgraded to a bone nut and saddle as well which increased sustain and warmth in a subtle way. Hope that helps!
