No, it does not work against dandruff. The best substitute for macula oil is coconut oil, which we already have in the recipe. I reckon you can leave it out if you do not have it. Baobab seed oil and apricot seed oil are the best substitute for mooring oil. God Bless you my dear 🙏🏾❤️

Im going to try this! But my fine hair doesnt like beeswax, it will not come out. So instead i will tweak this recipe for my hair needs i will use btms 25 (cosmetic emuslyfier) instead of beeswax, and i will put 10 drops of liquid germall plus for a preservative. I will let you know how it came out

If you feel comfortable doing it, you can add the preservative, just make sure your preservative is oil base and not water base, else it will not blend with the oils

Hi Cecil, I wonder why my balm looks like it goes bad after using it (once I introduce wet fingers). I've never experienced that with any butter. I don't add any water based ingredient. I disinfect my tools and packaging. I even tried to solve the issue by using an oil soluble preservative (naticide) but no success. And I also tried different packaging (aluminum, glass, PET). It is pure oil, so it does not need preservative. If you wish you can add two grams of vitamin E to t100 grams of pomade, when it is still melted. The vitamin E will act as an anti oxidant. The pomade can be store for up to two years at room temperature.

Very true. Unfortunately, some of my customers here have had allergic reaction with raw infused herbs. I have a recipe with raw infused herbs and this one where the herbs are heated. Both work great for the hair.
You can substitute beeswax with carnauba wax. It is a plant based wax, used in foods and hair products. It melts at 83 °c.. do not add to much, else your pomade will be very hard. For 100 grams of pomade add about 5 grams of carnauba wax.
