Funny you compared it with Allure homme edition blanche as I wear this one too 😊 They also have another fresh version, l'homme ideal cool which is a minty one. Pretty good too but the cologne remains my favourite one. 😉
Love this one. The grapefruit blends perfectly with the almond and the vetiver (the 3 main notes to my nose) to create a classic scent that will always be modern. I would say it's very close being a masterpiece. During Spring 2019 it was one of the two fragrances - the other being Narciso Rodriguez For Him EDT - that I took with me on my holiday in France. So I have great memories with it. As my 100 ml bottle was almost half gone (after 6-7 months of use), I've got another 100 ml one as a backup. It was very cheap @discounters: 35 €. Longevity on me is 9 hours and it has a very good projection for 2-3 hours. I do go ~10 sprays tho. Sadly, like a lot of great things, this is discontinued in favor of the mediocre duo: Sport and Cool. Thanks for the insight!
I straight blind bought this one based on hype and when I found out it was gonna be harder to find I had to pull the trigger. One of the best surprises in a few years:)
Definitely has been overhyped by you tubers and on fragrantica. Its not a bad scent by any means but definitely not worthy of all of the manic blind buying as its been discontinued imo.
Nice take. I have a botte of this but rarely reach for it tbh. The original EDT is amazing, but i am currently really enjoying Extreme. Wasn't a fan of the EDP, too feminine for my taste. Definitely check out Extreme mate you will love it!
to me... no. It's more complex and has more interesting parts but when you best in class like pamplelune well you need to embrace it. Not many can replace pamplelune, this I can use many to replace including Allure Homme Edition Blanche to Dior Homme Sport to name a few.
@@robes08 Yes Pamplelune is best in class for sure. That grapefruit has not been beaten. The issue I have with it is the dry down. Maybe it leans too feminine l. Even my mother says that it smells like some thing an old lady would wear. Pamplelune does last longer and projects more than Ideal so for anyone looking for the best grapefruit in the game go for Pamplelune. But Ideal is more wearable for me.
I was really pissed they discontinued this its such a shame I have to say the cool that replaced it is actually quite nice too with the mint and almond it's a strange combination but it works You should give it a try

This is surprisingly long lasting on me. It outperforms L'homme ideal EDP and the projection is really good. Why I didn't get it when it was $30 for 100ml and why Guerlain discontinued it are both beyond me.
Nice review, Marc. Sadly, this was one of the first fragrances that I tested (decant-wise) that showed me that not every fragrance in the world can work with your skin type. As much hype as this got before it got discontinued, I got a sample of this and while it is pretty nice on paper, it does not work with my skin at all and it actually came across quite...uretic (if I had to use a proper term). Just not built for me and that is how some fragrances can operate on your skin versus someone else; not all skin chemistries are equal. Keep it going as always, man. :)
In terms of citrus freshies, I also think it's really well done, but that certainly wasn't my first impression. When it first came out I sampled it in store and nearly gagged. Didn't think the almond was a good idea. Now I own two bottles because I spent time with it. But if that's how most naive customers react when they first smell it on paper, I can understand why they discontinued it. Next year it'll be another freshie flanker and I'm hoping for blood orange. Rhubarb wouldn't go amiss either.
I got a 50ml at the very beginning of the hype train before the discontinue rumors started. I thought fall/spring right away. I like it, but I wouldn't seek out a back up bottle.
I have a little bottle but to be honest my preference is Dior Homme Cologne or even Eau Sauvage Cologne. I do like Ideal Cologne but not enough (on this occasion) to enter the hype train. Perhaps I would feel differently if i didnt own the bottle 😁
In my opinion, it's on the same level and serves the same purpose as Sculpture by Nikos. I mean it as a compliment. Sculpture is an underrated fragrance.
Y'know, I kinda get a Ckone vibe from this one. Now bear in mind this is based on memory and yes, it's softer, sweeter, has a bit more going on but still the same sorta ball park. Maybe I need to revisit Ckone to see what my most thinks of it these days.
It's a paradox.. the original old school grand daddy of fragcom now has the most up to date and modern channel in fragcom. I haven't been active these days, but wow, you really put a lot of thought and work into your presentation. Very pro.. I had this fragrance awhile ago before it became hyped, only one reviewer used to talk about this one a lot.. I enjoy it.. For me it works very good in the hot summer heat.. Even though it has this slight creamy vibe, in the hot weather this fragrance almost gives this chilled iced feel.. like lemon almond iced frosting or something.. But I don't get a lot of sweetness, more freshness in this. Great review

got this for 16$/50ml on a sale on notino a few months ago... I wanted to buy 2 more after trying it, but it was gone..
