    My son and I are doing this today as the start of his winter break homeschool gift making week 😊 Will be including these in a homemade cappuccino mix, s'mores toffee bark and some just as is for treats🥰 Thanks for this perfect beginner tutorial! He's 12 on the 29th and is *SO EXCITED* to be about to do this.

      Good comparison! I have some of the strawberry with chocolate filling and peach ones in the dehydrator now. I'm planning on sending my daughter a box full of goodies for her birthday, and I thought she would enjoy them. Keeping my fingers crossed that they turn out well, but I don't think you can really go wrong with these.

    I like choice #5
    It's a bummer that they may get larger after dehydrating, i have some and they take up quite a bit of space

    • @StockingMyPantry
      @StockingMyPantry  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I know, it is a bummer. I'm so used to things shrinking when I dehydrate things - one of my favorite things about dehydrating! They will stay roughly the same size, but I think especially since they aren't squishy, they definitely take up a bit more room.

    Hello. How did you get the scent off the Classico pasta sauce jar lid? I have saved my sauce jars. I’ve tried dish soap, the dishwasher, baking soda, vinegar…nothing works. ☹️
    I hope your marshies don’t take on a saucey smell!

    • @StockingMyPantry
      @StockingMyPantry  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thankfully, no saucy smell! I wish I could tell you how I got rid of the smell, but I've had that jar for a long time so I can't remember! If all else fails (and it sounds like it has!) you might want to try diluted bleach. Obviously, you'll need to rinse like crazy afterwards, maybe run through the dishwasher after rinsing, etc. Also, keep the lid off for quite some time to let it air out. I find if I put the lid on too soon after washing, that it seems to lock in that smell. Hopefully one of these days we'll have an easier time of getting canning jars.

    You can always cut the large ones to making them smaller.

    • @StockingMyPantry
      @StockingMyPantry  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So true! I like using the small ones because it's easy but there is a lot of fun flavored ones that are larger. I dehydrated some large ones that were special shapes and flavors (e.g. peach, strawberry, green apple, etc.). They were so thick it was hard to fit them on the dehydrator trays. So they ended up kind of smashed a bit. I didn't want to cut those because of the shapes. But maybe now that I have two types of dehydrators (the Nesco and the Cosori) I may be able to do it in the Cosori by removing some of the trays. Hmmm. . . But if I just have regular large marshmallows, I think cutting them is worth a try! The wheels are turning. . . I think I see some more marshmallow dehydrating in my future. :)
