György Orbán: DAEMON IRREPIT CALLIDUS - เพลง
Started playing this out loud and my furniture started floating
Everyone hating on the sopranos saying they’re too loud...... the song was written for the sopranos to be mezzoforte...
This. :) Lol
No, actually if you look at the music in every part of the song. Every section has has the same amount of sound.
And its only ever the tenors that really have to get louder so if the Sopranos are over shadowing the other sections. They need to tone it down. Either that or the other sections need to be louder.
This was the directors fault for not seeing that though.
Still a good cover of the song tho!
EXACTLY, granted I'm just trying to find just baritone part for my choir
I think the record is almost always the problem. Sopranos usually sounds louder
I remember that this was a BITCH to sing in high school. Hats off to you - that was stunning.
From a high school choir kid this song is easy i got no clue what you’re talking abt
We did it at about 2x the tempo in this video... getting the staccato right in a big auditorium was tough
@@callmematy4713 try it at about 2 times the tempo it is here like the rest of us lmao
My choir is doing it right now and we are doing it faster than this but yeah it's a bit weird but it's fun to sing
i didn't think it was that hard when i did it the first time at 14, but then again, i got a bit obsessed w it after the first repetition and listened to it a lot sooo...
it was a bit hard to get the staccatos fully down though, but considering the place in which my choir sings is one of the bigger churches in europe, it's probably expected lol
We got to sing this in high school and our instructor was like "WHERE DID ALL THIS ENTHUSIASM AND VOLUME CONTROL COME FROM AND CAN YOU DO THIS WITH ALL OUR SONGS FROM NOW ON" 😂 we loved this one
the impeccable dynamics make this performance really stand out
best tenors in this song I've heard so far. 1:02-1:10 is my favorite part...so smooth.
that melody is sung by basses
That's true. These are basses. I sang this a couple of weeks ago and this was everyone's favorite bit because as a bass you need to put a lot of voice into this rather high melody. That's what makes it sound so nice.
Sounds like a piece that would play in the beginning of a movie set in like old time London while your on watching a horse drawn buggy in the perspective of a flying camera and sort of chasing it or maybe stalking it.
This is one of my top 5 favorite songs I've ever performed, easily.
Singing this as a sophomore on our madrigal group peace pipers and I love how dark and demonic the song is
hi gavin
hey i also sang this my sophomore year in our madrigal group! :)
I’m singing this my sophomore year in my madrigal year too lol
as much as this song sucks to learn at times it is soooo good
It sounds a lil slow, but that's a given because of the space. With really high reverb and echo-y accoustics, you can't go much faster than that - especially with a song with such complex rhythms, it will get real muddy real fast if they were to sing it at normal speed
I sang this my first year in college chamber singers. Our pianist little one who had just started walking toddled into the middle of our singing circle during it. The faces 😮
この歌、中学校の合唱部で歌いました。
とても当時を思い出して懐かしくなります
ひみつのあすこちゃん p
1:03 that baritone was really feeling himself and I love his vibe.
I sang this at LGPE as a sophomore and LOVED it!
This is so stunning
I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!
Sang this in college, could not love it more
Played this song and it awakend the beast, he likes the song
My cat started speaking old Latin and my closet started glowing and smoking when j played this
Dang they’re good!
The sopranos going “daemon” as extra little side notes to make it creepy is amazing
Virtuoso performance!
the altos are really quiet...
1:02 theres a whole different song
@fiyero49 yeah, the two statements weren't related. the tenor bit at 0:34 is really hard, and that is what I was referring to.
0:19 Ahhhhhh!
try the UP Choral Ensemble version of this if faster tempo is more your speed :) UPLB Choral Ensemble - Daemon Irrepit Callidus
@theeholliday that part is the basses :)
Only problem was the swaying. Dang good job!!!!
Whats wrong with swaying? They didn't over-do it
While beautiful, I like it a little faster.
Not bad. But! This is the original interpretation from Hungary! Feel and hear the differents!
Orbán György - Daemon Irrepit Callidus
I need sheet PDF DEMON
*daemon
altos did the "minus" wrong

Check out the Philippine Madrigal's version of this. It is SUPERB!!!
Oh please...try Rytmus ;) This piece is easy by comparison, though very complex and beautiful.
I absolutely love Rytmus! I sang it during my sophomore year and our choir placed first at state. The song is a BITCH to learn but very rewarding in the end. Especially fun with small ensembles when you only have one or two people on each part :))
@@jjukijjuki Rytmus is OK. The harmonies are crazy but its a pretty stale song in terms of dynamics
having sung both i can agree
Not trying to hate, but the Sopranos were a wee bit loud and kind of overpowered the Altos..Just my humble opinion.
Tell me something new xD
I remember being an alto in high school and never being able to hear myself sing over the sopranos lol
We get it youre a butthurt alto who never gets the melody :) just some fun
thats why you have a pyramid choir. Altos have the most people, next tenors, then basses, and there are just a few sopranos. all the sounds balance out
Don't agree, it was more of the altos not being loud enough. In fact, I'd say this choir has pretty good balance between all of the voices EXCEPT for the altos
They are not up to tempo at all tenors doing amazing but the sopranos and altos need to step it up!!!
"The demon influence clever" is the title of this in English. Hmmmm 🤔 LOL
This Camera Sucks...
too much of soprano
Too slow!!
