Agreed. If I wanted some only tangentially music-related sounds I’d buy a kaos pad and fix it to my guitar (which has been done commercially). Guitarists, I think, want to be able to emulate sounds with a guitar made by other musical, instruments in a musical way, without special pickups and with perfect tracking, not sounds which can’t reasonably be worked into any kind of performance anyone cares to listen to.
Thanks for this video. So is it possible with the GE300 to have both a guitar amp sound and a synth sound playing at the same time, for example if you play in a one guitar band with no keyboard player but you want to be able to trigger a bit of keyboards in addition to your guitar? Something like a nice strings or synth pad underneath the guitar part, for example.
it would be more helpful if the synth sounds werent so grainy and distorted.....see huge potential here, but sometimes less is more regarding gain and effects
The sounds are a little disappointing. I like the GR55 more for sound quality the problem with the Roland synth is that it doesn't transition from patches very smoothly and I feel like I could have an epic fail if I used it live.
BOSS sy1 is a "compact" version of BOSS sy 300, but actually those are different products. SY 300 has 3 oscilators and each oscilator can make 7 different waveforms. SY 1 doesn't have any oscilators, just has only several preset patches. Of course you can make many tone variety with SY 1 using tone knobs, but in that point SY 1 is similar to EHX Synth9 not BOSS SY 300. And you can compare GE300 synth engine to BOSS SY 300, but BOSS SY 300 can make many different routing signal chain while GE300 can make only one line routing signal chain. Also GE300 can make less waveforms than BOSS SY 300. BOSS sy 300 can make 7 waveforms(Sin, Saw, Tri, Sqr, Pwm, Detune Saw, Noise). GE 300 can make 5 waveforms(Sin, Saw, Tri, Sqr, Imp). I'm not saying 'yo bro, boss sy 1 and ge 300 suck. only boss sy 300 is good.' If you want to focus on ONLY synth engine, you'd better go to BOSS sy 300 or superior model SY 1000. But if you want to focus on ALL-IN-ONE multi effector, GE300 is also a good choice. Remember that both BOSS SY 300 and GE 300 have many effectors besides synth engine, but only GE300 has amp simulator and a cabinet simulator that you can put GE 300 right into a speaker or PA system while BOSS SY 300 has no amp/cabinet simulator. Also, if you want to add just one synth effector to your existing pedal board, BOSS sy 1 is also a good product.
It would be awesome if you would try and recreate “throw away your television” solo by RHCP. Is it possible to recreate that sound without sounding so “spacey”?
Why punish us with midroll adds, no one I know ever lets them run, neither do I, they just alienate your viewers and yield you little to no return. Put in two adds up front, and two at the end, I let them run, I very often encourage others to do the same. Most of us multi task, a midroll add can run for an hour plus, usually louder than the video itself, if your not right in front of your PC, you can't even shut them down. Midroll adds drive viewers to add free subscriptions and add free browsers, which diverts the revenue stream away from you and other content providers (channel owners).
@@Karlgolden Cool, yeah, I tried out the GE250 , no synth though, just a processor. I would love to find a synth that did fiddle/ violin, flute, Piano.. harmonica, but all convincing, nut just sorta close.

How to use the GE300 - th-cam.com/video/1JxV5jgi0eU/w-d-xo.html
i know Im kinda randomly asking but do anybody know a good place to stream new tv shows online?
How is the latency? Can you feel it?
Can you create the p at metheney „are you going with me“ synth solo sounds with the mooer? Can you try and post a short video? Thanks!
I wonder why you use arpeggiator pattern all the time when introducing synth? It’s a whole mess.

Does it have an intelligent 1 or 2 voices harmonizer ?
Ever tried emulating the Quad Cortex Toxic Synth on the GE300?
Will you be able to get the i want to break free solo from the synth engine?just wondering😅
Can please find a preset about Map of the Problematique guitar effect by Muse Band in this incredible ge300?
You could totally make some cool Muse tones with the synth engaged! lol
Dang, again with the quality and great showmanship on this interesting and prolific gear, so I salute you with how you showcase this! Awesome to see!

Yeah I think you can blend it in. It’s been a long time since the demo so I’m not 100% sure
You can save a preset of the synth as a "pedal" and assign it to the synth switch in the chain (Andertons channel mentioned this, I believe)
Did you manage to replicate the Quad Cortex Toxic Synth pre-set?

That sounds kool
I have a boss sy-1 so very curious how the synths compare.

Static mode! 🤗 perfect for Static Teaz

Unfortunately I no longer have it to test out

Nothing but a BOAT ANCHOR
😂😂
Edm sound!
Around 4:35 it sounds a little like Fighting Gold.
Hey Karl got a question for ya..can it do separate outs(xlr with cab sim on and a quarter inch out without the cab sim) like the preamp live?
Pretty sure you can 👍 It has stereo out for both
@@Karlgolden thanks for the response man.Much appreciated
I really dont get the beauty of sinth, the only i need is:
Crunch distortion
Wah
Delay
Reverb
And tremolo to be a bit fassy
🤟
9:13 😂 ..
Good review 👍 , you can take line 6 pod synth as example you can try those cool effects ✌️🔥
Sensacional 👍🛎
ofcourse you can go crazy, but it wouldn't come to my mind to send the synth through a guitar amp. lol.
It's all about dosing, you should've tried little dose blended with the distorted guitar signal for solo''s
Horrid noises, I thought this
synth section was going to be
impressive.
Bleep, plop.fizz fizz. Careen, scream. Horrible noises. Totally useless!
Honestly most of this doesn't sound terribly musical, and what does isn't very impressive unfortunately
Sounds absolutely horrid to me,
and I was just about set on the 300 or
300 lite, pass. ..
@@bikersoncall what you need to consider here, it that it's a bad demo. There are plenty of other good demos. I have the GE300, I love it.
Junk. Nothing useable or pleasing to the ear.
A step filter, phaser and octaver combo.
Lol say it how it is Ken!

fair play I'm not a synth man just messing around while I had the unit
