As far as I know, this song is about dementia. It is clear that he loved his Grandmother, like I love my mum who also has dementia. That's why this song is an anthem for me. Her name is Stella. This should be the rallying call for all who suffer. Thank you Declan.

Intense. I grew up with my stepfathers mother; Mary Hackett. My grandmother by all accounts. She was wild and fun; yet a high society lady. Her husband passed; she lived several years on her own and then into a nursing home. She spent the last few years in a dimensia ward. Unfortunately this song fits to a T. My mom would take bags full of Mary's clothes so she would be comfortable and on my moms next visit all the other patients would be wearing all her clothes. Of course this was cool with my mom. Love your family (or whomever) while you can.

Anyone notice Elvis slight of hand at 2:09? The song starts with the Capo up one fret to the F. Elvis strums a c chord which is effectively a C sharp. Then at 2:08 he slips the capo quietly up to the third fret and the C chord is now a D. And you don't even hear it.... Elvis is a master.

The E chord becomes the A sharp also. Fantastic.!

Well spotted. The original is in C and it doesn't change key at all.

Robert, I was thinking the same thing. Steve Nieve's piano work blends so perfectly with Elvis guitar and vocals. I hope Elvis has taken care of Steve handsomely. You don't find musicians like this often in pop music. Steve can go from classical to rock, country to honky tonk or whatever genre Elvis chooses to write in, and his piano always dovetails perfectly with Elvis music.
