Wow....I'm in basics about to head to the floor and I don't feel ready at all. I don't want to completely place the blame on my teacher but the difference is night and day between your teacher and mine. Yours is being very descriptive. Mine was just like watch the video, watch me, now do it while I sit at the desk or leave the room. I feel like I've been flying solo and winging it all through basics.
Haha, yea Ms. J is one of a kind. Easily my favorite teacher in that building, so recognizing her skill isn't surprising. Most teachers you'll come across won't be this good, so i wouldn't be too weary. The skill you're developing by lacking in quality teachers is an ability to teach yourself. That skill will follow you even after graduation. See it as an opportunity to improve, rather than a stumbling block.

I like the series, im in Barber school and it is very different, yours looks more like zoolander academy vs my school is just ghetto af, and we just do men for the most part, but thats dope that your school shows you more in depth womens cuts. Im gonna graduate and I prolly wont have any idea as to how to cut womens hair... sadly. Although I dont really plan on doing womens hair anyways so im not that bumbed about the lack of knowledge... and I can always just rely on youTube academy for anything that I feel like i dont get from my schooling. As it is I dont even feel like they teach me anything at the school im attending, it's more of a place you have to just get your hours in and rely on your own ability, cus they dont show you how to do anything. So again, your school looks way more legit, be grateful homes.
depending on what state you live in, some states demand you get a barber's license as well. While others provide you with a dual license, like Jersey does.

Appreciate you man. And in this video I used a Sigma 17-50 2.8. I sometimes switch it with a 10-18mm because the room is small.

I have a community college that offers cosmetology school to high schoolers but is it tough being a minority around the majority being ladies
haha, not in the slightest. I finished back in October. but I was completely fine. It can get a lil catty, but that's mostly between the girls. lol.
