    Just got the cart and the insert for Christmas, saw your review long ago and thought it would be the best for me, quite happy with the decision, thank you supplying the review cannot wait to hit the chains ! This morning I re-watched as I was confused with and was not sure what the top side Velcro straps were for as they wouldn’t fit around the cart tubes but you explained they cover the zipper tab(s) which actually fit the tubes (duh!). Thx again, great job !

    You know what else I like about the trekker? I can break up the purchase a bit… buying the backpack cart at one time, and start by using it with my current bag, then the insert down the road when I can make that purchase. With the transit, I’m all in at once! Great review. Loved your insights when comparing the two! The higher seat is definitely a bonus and the points you made about the rainfly and protection when opening up the lid/seat on the transit. Truthfully, I considered the height of the transit in accessing the discs, but at the end of each shot I have to pick up a disc off the ground so lower access isn’t a make or break. I also wondered if I’d tire of opening/closing that lid on the transit to access discs for every shot. Lower storage (like on the EZ) seemed appealing, but I think you’ve sold me!

      @@CHAINHUNTER btw! How tall are you? Just curious about the seat comfort as I know it sits taller. Also, one guy made a vid that the back was pulling in… did this happen to you?

      @@CHAINHUNTER sorry! The back of the trekker (by the actual cart) was starting to pull inwards and become misshapen on another reviewer’s video. Yes. That question was super vague! lol

      @@TidesOnEarth hmmmm, that did not happen to mine . I’m curious if that person did not wrap the rear Velcro tabs to the back vertical poles ?
      To be clear I’ve since moved on to another setup & cannot investigative that further .
      I’ve went on to a Gorilla Boy bag & have a Ridge roller cart on the way.

    Great review!! One question I heard you say you already owned the cart and added the trekker bag. If you were starting without the cart would you still buy a complete trekker or go with a transit cart?

    • @gearntrailetc.8257
      @gearntrailetc.8257 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Timothy Miller great question ! A close friend has the transit so I got to see , touch etc (before covid 19) . The one thing I like is the top access to the disc ..you don’t have to bend as low to access them. That being said it’s really stubby & a lot shorter than the trekker so to sit it’s more like doing the squats vs the height of the trekker that greets the buns with ease. Another thing at this time is the transit does have a water resistant material but not rain / water proof. Which leads to the next trekker plus imo. I have a dynamic disc rain fly which transit does not & in a down pour you have to always open the top lid to access disc on the transit always exposing to the rain . At this time I feel the trekker is more of a complete setup.

      @@gearntrailetc.8257 Thank you very much sir. I was leaning towards the trekker and I think once this covid 19 stuff is over I'm going to get one.

      Timothy Miller I didn’t realize I answered from my other TH-cam channel hahaha! You may want to take a peek at zuca online . From what I’ve seen they are offering 30% off all carts right now . It would save you some money & you can have the cart before the world ends

      Timothy Miller that’s wild ! Yeah I used to be such a outdoor adrenaline junkie but as I grow older , bike packing , kayaking , disc golf have taken hold 😭. On my gear n trail I did two older videos when those products came out for the Blackburn outpost bags & my salsa timber jack 27.5. Those are fun to watch. Glad you got the cart! I’ll be posting the bike packing trips on the over here over there channel so be on the lookout .

    How are u keeping the quick Stik fastened to the cart?? Are there any loops on the bag to clip a blue tooth speaker on the outside of the bag also?

    • @CHAINHUNTER
      @CHAINHUNTER  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I made a simple shock cord loop with a cord lock on the tail ends .
      Then lark head on the vertical support on the cart . So bottom cart corrals the end & the top half secured with the shock cord .As for external loops to hang a bluetooth speaker i can't recall as i have sold this setup last year but i don't think there was..you can probably find a way on the cart frame .. Hope that helps

      No this is the Regular size backpack cart . Unfortunately Zuca makes the trekker insert only for the regular backpack cart & not LG.
