I think the channel name change makes sense. And bless 'em, someone definitely tried to redo her eyebrow. I think those boots work well with the dress - nicely done.
Hi Kristie, I'm glad you agree about the channel name. I didn't want to change it so much that people wouldn't know it was me :) She is a very TLC Addy. I didn't notice the eyebrow was repainted until I got her home. I am still on the lookout for an older Addy with better hair, but at least I have one for my Historical collection for now. Thank you for watching and commenting!
She looks great! I think you did a wonderful job with her. Those boots are from the Blue Ribbon Riding Outfit from 1998. They look perfect on Addy! I've also heard that if you're trying to put a head back on by yourself, turn the head backwards so you don't have the hair in the way, then smush the top of the doll's head into a pillow (to protect her) as hard as you can and then tie the neck string. I hope that works for you!
Hi Beth, thank you so much for watching! I had to edit a lot out of this video due to copyright music. Most of the cleaning up part is missing. Thanks for your suggestion on putting the head on. I appreciate the tip! Also thanks for identifying her boots! I have so much to learn about the fashions and accessories that go with the different dolls. Have a wonderful day. 🥰
@@CherishedDollFriends I didn't feel like the video was missing anything, so your editing worked great. :) You are quite welcome! You have a wonderful day too!
Yes her odour went away when I washed her hair. I think ironing the dress helped to steam some of it away as well. Thanks for commenting. It means a lot. 😁
Actually, I smelled her hair again and there is still a lingering smell. I may have to wash it with shampoo that has a different smell. The dish soap cleaned it but did not remove all of the scent.
I am not sure if I am going to get the re- released Addy. I found a pleasant company bonnet for my thrifted Addy. I can’t wait for that to arrive! Thanks for commenting. 😃
She turned out so beautiful. She's so lucky to have you love and take care of her. Thank you for another lovely and inspiring video!💖
You are so kind. I appreciate your nice comment. It was a pleasure to fix her up and give her a new life. :)
She is so darling! Addy is truly one of the prettiest historical dolls to date. You saved her🥰
I think so, too! I love rescuing old dolls. I would still like to find another Addy that is in slightly better condition.
Your Addy is gorgeous. You did a great job cleaning her up. ❤
I appreciate that. I enjoyed working on her. She is such a cutie. Thank you! 😊
Your Addy came out beautiful, Addy is also one of my favorites in my collection. 😊
I appreciate you watching and your nice comment. Thank you! 😊
Oh Cheryl, she is adorable.
She is a cute doll. She may still need a little more work :)

Welcome Addy! The boots you have look great on Addy. Her hair looks nice to me :)
I think so, too! I'm glad her hair turned out decent, but it is quite thin. I have now taken it out of the braid. A bonnet would help! :)
What a great find! Awesome video :)
I appreciate that so much. It was fun to make. It's very relaxing cleaning up dolls. It's satisfying when they look nicer than when you find them :)

WOWEE! She does have very thin hair. She is very pretty especially in that dress. Shoes are sooo cute. Did the odor leave after her clean up?
Actually, I smelled her hair again and there is still a lingering smell. I may have to wash it with shampoo that has a different smell. The dish soap cleaned it but did not remove all of the scent.
@@CherishedDollFriends Oh, may want to wash/soak her dress too to see if that helps. Did you smell the dress when it was away from the doll?
Yes it was in her dress a bit too but more in the hair. I may have to wash the dress and the hair again. Oh well. Thank you. 🙏😊
Did you get the re-released Addy?

@@CherishedDollFriends Great! I found a lot of Addy's accessories in the secondhand market as well.
