I had to move to a very rural area a few years ago, and didn't have any reason to keep buying gaming miniatures. I quickly fell in love with 54mm and 75mm scale minis. And, yes, resin quality has grown superb. Glad to see this video.
You did a lovely job there Andy. I'm only now getting over the old "I'm not very good" thing, and I've been fighting that for a long time. Working with larger miniatures can help with that. My wife has always preferred to paint her gigantic Tyranid abominations as opposed to smaller minis, and I'm starting to see why. At the end of the day all that matters is that you enjoy the miniature and the painting process.
Most welcome andy, ive decided against painting a specific army just going to paint models i want to paint for now, then maybe one day do an army for both 40k and aos
I recently put a fine cast model together and it was a pain in the hole but looking at these models they are exceptional and its good to see u out of ur comfort zone another great video brother keep them coming
Large figures use to put me off then I put my big boy pants on and painted GW’s giant (call it want you want but I’m happy with giant). Enjoyed it a lot. Give it a go as you’re the only one that will see it
As you said: You are not the best painter nor do you pretend to be. But you push yourself to simply try out new stuff and maybe eventually get a tier higher. Well done. My suggestion: Try to push your contrasts and put more different paints into your clean surfaces (a blue or red tint on some spots on skin, a green tint into the red shadows and stuff like that). I am still learning as well, nowadays totally enjoying painting the "giants" from the "Hate" board game and testing out more and more colors instead of going just for a clean job. My lesson learned: If you want to become a better painter, paint bigger minis. You are a gem for promoting that hobby and being humble at the same time. Thanks for the heads up for the Kimera kickstarter. Love their colors and hopefully the KS will also include new specific colors.
First : The mini turned out great! Lovely colours! Second : Those resin casts does look really awesome! Third : I hate you! :D (just kidding) Watching these last 2 videos, you just "forced" me to order the full Kimera set. Ah well, atleast my brother will be happy to get my extra paints. (-: Keep up the great work, can't wait to see what else you got planned.
@@MediocreHobbies (((: I've been looking at them for a LONG time, just never bought them. Scared or just too lazy to mix my own shades/hues, probably both. (-: And yeah, been using an old GW "pvc well palette" lately, but time to take out the old wet palette again. (My new Exemplar Wet Palette is set to arrive this week, so needed some new paints to break it in^^)
Damn it looks really nice. Im still so daunted by Kimera Paints. They seem to be pretty much what I imagined before starting painting mini's. Now im a Citadel Slave and buy pretty much every tone without ever mixing two together #sadface. I think i pull together my last courage a buy me a set :D
Here's the Kickstarter link for the models and you can get Kimera Kolors through the kickstarter too! It will be running from April 20th til May 8th! tinyurl.com/tenebraemh

Very cool video :) Keep it up!
Thank you pal.
maybe we need a skirmish game that scales up to that size
Think miniac is looking into something like that. He has been dropping hints.
For NMM, check out Ninjon’s channel. He makes me want to give it a go. I’m so happy you’re branching out and seeing a different side of the Hobby.
I watch all his videos. Ye its a lot of fun trying it all out.

auto-like mate!
Cheers dude.
This company steals resin pieces from other companies. All they do is create their own molds out of other companies works.
Do you have any evidence or sources of this information that I can look into more?
