One of the best trick in playing the Stafford gambit is to play it with the Busch Gass gambit move order then transpose into the Stafford. So many people doesn’t realize they’re in the Stafford until Nf6 is played and ended up in one of the terrible lines. And if you remember your opponent and runs into someone who knows the line you can play f5 before Nf6 and now it’s a completely different gambit.
