I really like the way you walk us through your thought process. It's a simple, straightforward way to explain it all. Btw I was pretty surprised by how he/she trapped your queen - they also found it surprisingly fast, but you did great making a comeback anyway. 😃
I have such a hard time making the London system work for some reason. When I watch other people play it, it always looks super clean and smooth, but I always seem to get people who disrupt it with a lot of wacky shit 😅 I actually switched to the Italian because I was just getting better games with it.
8:38 when she says Na3 is the only way to defend against the fork, as a former London enjoyer I’ve learned that a much better way to parry these types of forks is with the move Bb5+ and Ba4 This is important to know because you could have already developed your knight, like with Nbd2, meaning Na3 is no longer possible
I play the london and have a course for it. The London is the most uner rated opening IMO because it's like an onion you keep peeling layers back. You don't play it the same way you change it up depending on how black plays. It gets a bad rep because people play the same moves every time, but if you get a course for it you realize there are a lot of layers to it.
In last game (37:17) black could play stronger after B:h7+ and go with King to g6: Ng5+ Kg6; Qg4 f5; Qg3 (Qh4 Rh8 or ef6 N:f6 and after Qg3 Nh5) Qc8/b8 and as I think white have nothing better than N:e6+ Kf7; N:f8 N:f8 or K:f8 (Q:f8?? white will play e6+ and ed7) and black are still fighting (knight and a horse for rook and two pawns but a weak king position). In a game with classical tempo I think white should expect this variation.
Im a complete beginner. I've been learning a lot by playing only advanced games. Of course im losing 99% of my games but im learning how my enemy is veating me and wi5h tgesw videos im starting to get the grasp. Im not a fan of memorizing lines or systems, i love playing natural but i get some concepts... still got a lot to improve
Ahahah Alessia playing the London 😂 Actually I've never played it but I never hated it either. I could see myself playing it in the future maybe ! Very nice video as always ! Keep it up !!
26:49 you had Ke4, forking the Queen and the Rook. Your opponent would have been left only with a Queen against 2 Rooks and a bishop. But you were looking at the camera and just played Re3.
H3 loses a tempo BUT it keeps the bishop alive on that diagonal. London can also be played very successfully as Black. Black can also play a kind of Italian London after e4. As a low rated player I like London because it gets all the pieces out quickly.
I randomly saw your comment after scrolling down, and it's the only one I've read... and it made me realize that the criticisms that I was about to post are too harsh... if this channel is meant to be a fun, mildly-instructional place for beginners. I was fully prepared to blast the lady playing the games... but then you made me rethink doing it, because the implication I get from you is that she isn't trying to be as "authoritative" in general as I assumed from just this one video.
I’m only a 530 elo Played the London successfully a few times but likewise i seem to get smoked by 460’s playing as if they are 1200! how come all the chess streamers seem to get the idiot 1500’s that even i think i could beat! Lol
Wow. Against a 900. I always find it funny these players trying to demonstrate how effect these openings are against players who know nothing about chess. Then they act like they’re so good.
I generally enjoy your videos, but I don't see playing a series of games against opponents rated around 1000-1200 does to demonstrate any benefits of the London, or any other, opening?!.... Their moves are just too random and blunder filled so don't give any idea of what could be faced with good play.
Maybe you're 1500+ rated, but down here around 900-1000 I can assure you our moves are not random. We just miscalculate sometimes, but it's not that rare to have 80+% of good moves and a blunder.
The thing about the London is that it is a setup that can be played against virtually anything Black plays. As for other openings, it’s not like she always knows the best theoretical move against her opponents’ sometimes-questionable opening choices, but the opening principles she uses and the way she explains them are meant to be the key takeaways here, and can be applied in all different types of openings
We got Alessia played London before GTA 6
WTF the London 😂😂😂

We need more London videos please! Great channel you sre funny and interesting, good job ❤
22:15 is golden moment . just as you mentioned of being careful of not getting trapped and ....
the foreshadowing at 7:06…
Has the world gone mad? Alessia is playing the London?!
I'd like Her Pizza recipe(not a chess opening), because many celebs have one.
It's even more worse than that. She is the London...😅
@@djoekamazarov1191 Funny, I thought She was the Italian(he-he).
Only during daytime. At night she is The London KillerQueen...@@R.Akerman-oz1tf
Alessia i cant belive you Still say Here Here Here instead of g5 h6 do you know the squares 😂

this was beautiful to watch, learned a lot! thank you and GG
Never thought I would see Alessia say good things about the london!
The knight and the bishop combine together is like a unicorn opening in a way
There is no more wholesome and beautiful human being playing chess in the world than Alessia. What a treasure she is.
Great video, I find that you do a good job teaching the ideas behind you moves making the video very instructive.

Fun to watch❤😊
Why this 1000 looks noob while my 800 plays like hacker 😢

London is reason why I won't go to heaven if I played!
This was great - a lot of good ideas!
9:37 My face when I prepare for the London and my opponent plays 1... e5
Thank youu for showing😁

if you like the london system you should check out the jobava course by Alex, i love the pawn storm idea after bf5, with f3 g4
The london is the perfect opening. Its peak chess. (Its the most aesthetically pleasing opening and therefore strongest)
22:03 Alessia Blunderamo is back!
Great video
Mate in 2 at 34:24 with Qxd4?
Hope the event has been better than the chessoboard at 2:38.

When you move a pawn in front of your king to give him an escape, is it better to free a space the opposing bishop cannot cover?
At 05:17 you missed a half sentence: "and then we take the queen, game over."
27:15 just fork with knight d7
🎉 u got ur first sponsor 😁
Hello Alessia,i like you, my favorite is London system, thank you very much 👌👏👏❤️🌹🥰👸👩🎤

I can't belive that ... Alessia! ... the London???
Nice video
Is like the knight evolved
10:17 U said it correctly "pawn ON D4". Sorry, no sorry.
I will never not laugh at the evil joy you get out of smoking someone after a blunder...
Ciao. Porta sul canale il gambetto italiano. È molto forte e sottovalutato.
You should play the London system against higher rated players to make it more challenging and exciting.
please make a video on dragon siccilian. please.
MCO
any opening is good when you play
it with opponents below 2000 😁
MAMY INNE SZACHY!!!!!!!!!!!!DZIEKUJEMY!!!!!!!!!!!!MAREK.

I'm 900.
I’m only a 530 elo Played the London successfully a few times but likewise i seem to get smoked by 460’s playing as if they are 1200! how come all the chess streamers seem to get the idiot 1500’s that even i think i could beat! Lol

Why are you wearing a doctor's white coat , holding a board and pen while teaching chess ♟️
🤔
What's the anti-london system for black?
KID
Wow. Against a 900. I always find it funny these players trying to demonstrate how effect these openings are against players who know nothing about chess. Then they act like they’re so good.
She's rated 2000 bro
You should play with higher rated opponent
But you're my crush !
❤❤❤
for the first game u could ve taken the rook bishop protects check then queen f6 check bishop protects and then u take it more satisfying lmao
W
LMAO. You have to be trolling. You are way too tactical to enjoy London positions.
😍
you are lovely
Is it legal to play with an other account with a much lower rating?
Why don't you ever play people around your own rating?
She does - in OTB tournaments.
Cuz ...she is teaching for lo rate players
