Hope you guys enjoy the slide in intro because for some reason fade in is now a "premium" feature, and I am not paying for that right now. Absolute injustice.

Very thoughtful review on the movie. I just finished seeing this one a few weeks ago and it blew me away. The soundtrack is just amazing, like you said. The plot's pacing is so fast. Never a dull moment for me here.
Do you plan on covering some showa movies? I think you may enjoy Hedorah.

@@fant2055 I have seen all the Godzilla Shōwa films. I have been thinking of making videos on those. Hedorah is an absolute gem.

@@justnoah2073 Ah in that case I'll make sure to sub for the future.
I've also seen all the showa Godzilla films and I think hedorah is like top 5 for me from that era. Nothing really beats the original for me though, that's the best.
Hedorah was cool because I like how it was not just a film about pollution, but also just a really uniquely shot film. There's a lot of intense scenes in there that make you feel like Hedorah is a genuine threat. The most memorable scene for me was how Hedorah flew over the city and just killed everyone so easily. There was no sound either, so it felt super impactful....everyone was gone in an instant. I get it's meant to mimic the idea that pollution would make our world desolate in a dramatic way, but wow that was really chilling for me.
But then you got silly scenes like Godzilla flying with his breath. Silly showa camp like that is fun lol.
Thanks for replying to my comment! It's great to see people review and care for these films so many years later :)

Personally I don't trust Adam Wingard to take on that role. Yamazaki, I know he can give Biollante the nuance and care they deserve. But I am not sure if Biollante is ready to appear in the Minus One timeline just yet. But I agree, this monster has a lot of potential and can return. But they shouldn't be overused, they got to be done just right.

@@justnoah2073 of course,Adam Windgard Is a terrible director , i Hope he'l never touch Biolante.
It dosn't necesseraly need to be in Minus One neither ,it Can be in a New movies serie,i just hope it will be made by Toho, not by Legendary.

@@predator2262 He might of been right for Godzilla Vs. Kong. Because the premise of that movie was so absurd (big monkey big lizard), but after that I think they should have gone with different people. But financially I suppose the highest grossing Godzilla film ever now is Godzilla X Kong. So the studio made the right decision when it came to money. I'll admit, I did have some moments of joy watching, two monster fights at once was entertaining and I had never seen it done before like that. But I feel Wingard just wants to avoid humanity. And at the end of the day Godzilla is always supposed to represent something. To be something bigger than a giant lizard. But the monster-verse continually has torn his character down to nothing but a big lizard. And Godzilla isn't Godzilla without metaphors and commentary on society. And Wingard is so unnecessarily brutal sometimes, remember the monster that was defending the North Pole? In that universe Godzilla is like literally the king of the monsters, and he couldn't just ask the monster to let him through? We know they can communicate like that! But he was making more of a Kong movie. Skar King I guess works better for Kong, but let Godzilla get back to his movies. Don't get me wrong, I like Godzilla and Kong working together to an extent, but I want Godzilla to have his own movies, though I may just be selfish for that. Anyway, I know Wingard is already working on the next film, and he said it will be a lot more Godzilla focused, so I am happy about that. But the monster-verse has delivered on everything I wanted to see. Big budget Godzilla (before I saw Minus One, now I know low budget is just as good if not better!), Hollywood level Ghidorah right (though I bet Toho can do that now too), Godzilla defeating Kong, and Monarch for giving me conspiracy and a historical piece set in the fifties. I have always wanted that after the opening of the 2014 film. But that movie loses intrigue halfway through when everything is just revealed, so that show I believe is monster-verse at its best. Anyway, Minus One was the highest grossing Japanese Godzilla film ever made. Godzilla is more popular than ever, and that is really saying something! He turns seventy in November! So the future is bright, and Toho will continue this franchise. Mothra, Ghidorah, and all Godzilla's other friends will return in a golden age of Godzilla movies that is ahead of us, not behind us.

@@justnoah2073 i have to admit that i hated godzilla vs Kong, sure i wasn't expecting something deep,i knew it was gonna be just some explosive battles ,and im ok with that if it's well done, the problem Is that it was poorly done: the fight scenes are just CGI vomit , the giant feeling is non existant (at least 2014 got great cinematohraphic Ideas on how to make you feeling small ) and Godzilla character Is inconsistent with previous movies,he just seems evil in this, then in godzilla 1 and 2 he was more of a chaotic neutral .
Im ok with movies that are just pure fun, but it have to be well done, Godzilla vs Kong Is some sort of a Marvel movie with Kaiju.
But yeah you are right,Minus One Is possibly gonna give posisbility for a New golden Era .

@@predator2262 I could handle one Godzilla Vs. Kong, but I don't need three in a row! The one thing I liked about the monster-verse was that there was a new director for each movie who was allowed to express their own style. Now we are stuck in Wingard world. The worst part is that he refuses to use the original themes. Did not care much for Mothra's new theme. And the sense of scale is lost, especially in hollow Earth. That's why humans exist in Godzilla, so we can understand how big and impactful the monsters are.
