That's seriously cool.
With the delay before firing, because you're using the entire length of the drive belt, was there no way to mount the grip and therefore the magazine further forward. I would have thought you'd put the grip as forward as possible without touching the flywheels.

i like that it has variable speed. it makes it the closest thing to a Rival Regulator (get on that, Nerf!). i just dislike super fast full auto with a (relatively) low capacity magazine. i know the normal Khaos mag can, at times, be a little troublesome; but i really like it anyway. 4 stacks of spring fed rounds all coming up to a conveyor belt which pushes them all in line is a great design imho. the placement of it means the over all weight of the blaster is really well centered (as opposed to the very front heavy Nemesis). and internally, given the need for space for the large magazine, i think the space is used very well over all. speaking as an adult at about 6' tall, i dont find it uncomfortable to use (unless you try to shoot from the hip, but thats just because of the stock). this is not a bad mod by any means of course, i just happen to like the Khaos pretty well as it is.

Since it's a mini Khaos, I'd name it after one of Khaos' daughters in Greek Mythology.
Khaos translates to "Gap" or "Chasm," and represents the space between the earth and heavens (heavens meaning Space, so basically, she is the Primordial goddess of wind and air) , and as such, her lineage are other mist-based concepts. There is Erebos (the mists of netherworld darkness), Aither (the ethereal mists of heaven), Nyx (the night) and Hemera (the day).
Take your pick of which one you like the most. I'd personally pick either Aither, and Nyx, but Erebos is pretty fucking epic.

If I just left it as a carbine, instead of a pistol (i.e., left much of the stock from the Khaos, and just use the Apollo grip mounted farther forward), would I be able to keep the PWM and the battery in the back? Or possibly give up the PWM entirely? This has gotten me wondering about making my own Proton Pack...and Khaos' without mags are pretty cheap.

this is now my favorite mod, I love how this looks, it looks like the smg from half life, I do not like the hera, so this is now a rival smg, you should put a grenade launcher on the bottom made from a big blast tank, then it would truly be a beast.

Take a picture of a Khaos perpedicular to the shell, import the picture to photoshop, scale it to 100% size using a measurement of the actual pattern, turn black and white, fiddle with contrast and brightness, print out, cut out the pieces, put them on tape and cute that out, put on blaster lol

It's a 20A PWM on Amazon sold by uxcell. Looks like the specific one I got isn't on Amazon anymore (at leas the link in the order is broken). There's some 15A ones, but the dimensions is pretty different between the different ones.

I picked 15-20A for the high amp rating. I think it depends mostly on what motor you plan to run? I'm not entirely sure.

So just make sure it has a decently high amp rating, can cover the voltage and can go from as close to 0%-100% as it'll go and it should work from the sounds of it.

Nope. The PWM is mostly for the gimmick of rate of fire change. It's 100% not necessary for it to work.
