- This is a much different video than I'd normally post, but I didn't want this classic to be lost to time.
This is a sort of "showcase" video for VinVulpis' 'Giygas HD Theme'
This is technically a re-upload, with fairly somewhat accurate visuals to go with it directly from EarthBound. Enjoy!

Welp...guess my original video with this song is forever lost to time now. Mine got taken down years ago, somebody reuploaded it, then their channel got terminated.
It really sucks...I just hope that the song stays up here at least.

Oh... well then. Never expected to find this again. I don't remember where I posted it, but honestly didn't like it anymore because the audio mixing was still new to me and I later hated the quality of it. (The audio peaks and distorts in some parts and the younger me just ran with it). There were certain periods I went through where I disliked my older work and axed everything in some places passed a certain date. But it's kinda interesting to see... this one, of all things pop up again. I don't normally do arrangements of preexisting stuff, but I like moody ambient stuff and this was a good experiment for me at the time.
I don't even know if I still have the work file for this anymore. Feel free to keep the video up though. Nice mix with the visuals to go along with it.

@@Vinvulpis at the time when I first saw this, someone else had uploaded it. And at the time whenever you looked up “Giygas remix” you got meme videos or 2008 ytp stuff, or Porky Means Business which is not Giygas’s theme at all.
But your rendition of these songs was just out of this world. I was sad when I could never find it again. Until someone else uploaded a “Reversed” version which I quickly downloaded and then uploaded as you can see.
It took a long time for me to actually hear the music in these tracks, but because of your rendition I can actually hear the “song” aspects of the originals now.
I hope someday you reconsider going at this again, and maybe going more into detail about it, maybe experiment and try something original with them.
As a fellow musician, and a crazy fanatic of EarthBound and it’s characters, I love it when I find stuff like this.
@@Geshtro I find it funny that this of all things floated around for a long time and popped up like this again. Hahah.
I've been kicking around the idea if I manage to make some time for it with all my commissions and personal game project stuff. If I were to do it. I wanna emulate certain parts of the original better, maybe take some creative liberties with certain parts (not sure). And actually add a part of the beginning, for the cave of the past, since the Giygas theme motif is in there (the 3 note segment after the 3rd silence).
...and possibly something extra at the end.
It would be interesting to revisit anew. Will have to see.
I do have a particular liking for odd music that has a strong mood to it, and the Giygas end game segments just hit me a certain way. The sound design and composition of the game in general is great, but the ambient bits are something special, that along with bits of it cropping up through the soundtrack, it's subtle, but does give the feel of something lurking in the background.
I also like that some of the sound in the track sound like planetary whistles that space probes have sent back as they pass through the magnetic fields of planets.
Hey, I made an animation out of your "HD" Remix of Giygas's music, but it got taken down a few years ago.
Did you have anything to do with the takedown? If so, then I wish we could've at least discussed things first if you actually did have a problem with it, despite me already giving credit.
