    I've heard about this shocking story. The unusual thing about this crime (I'm not sure if it's true though) is that people don't judge this criminal very much, because no one likes insurance companies in the US. I saw some toxic comments about CEO people leave on the Internet.

    • @AmericanEnglishBrent
      @AmericanEnglishBrent  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I have heard the same thing. I’ve actually seen reports of people protesting his arrest absolutely crazy.

    Advanced lesson, especially the legal term 'waive deportation', because 'waive' normally means 'refuse, say no', not 'agree' with sth 🤔
    By the way, Brent, op-ed is an abbreviation for “opposite the editorial” (often incorrectly thought to be abbreviation for opinion/editorial).

    • @AmericanEnglishBrent
      @AmericanEnglishBrent  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Eureka! Brent, I've got it!! Waive extradition means to agree to return voluntarily, not forcibly as it would be in case of extradition which is always a forced procedure.
      Sometimes it needs pretty much time to grasp English expressions correctly 😊
      Again, thanks for the lesson ❤
