Hey, thanks for watching! If you just want the paddles and buttons, you should only have to code the sport’s transmission. If you can do that with BimmerCode then you are all set. I am not sure if BimmerCode has that feature sorry

Hi, is the airbag and the airbag cover compatible? It’s same for both pre facelift and LCI2?
As long as you buy it from the same country as your car as it can vary per country due to regulations.
I upgraded my airbag later and it looks awesome

I have a 2015 Mini Cooper S and just got an LCII heated steering wheel. Do I need a new SZL to activate the heated function, or did you just need a new SZL for the paddle shifters?

Yeah you will need the szl for the heat also.

But what I want to know is, why my MINI that’s about to hit production doesn’t have the heated steering wheel due to the chip shortage, but you were able to get one and retrofit it??? MINI, you have some explaining to do!
It is rather odd!
I did hear that some of the new minis can’t get part of the wire harness, so that might be it.
Thankfully everything can be retrofitted!
I’m in the same boat. I have a 2023 about to be built and they aren’t including heated wheel! Hopefully it can be retrofitted???

@@carcreationsyt I also have a 23 JCW on the way soon with a heated steering wheel credit :( I asked MINI and they say they will not be offering to retrofit the vehicle when it becomes available like GM is doing for their models. Would you be able to clarify which wire would be missing? This is something I definitely wanted to have installed on the car and it would be great to make that happen. Also is there a parts number or list of parts/place I could buy what is needed?

Thankfully anything can be retrofitted, it just can be more expensive than getting the option from MINI.
Hey I have a 2022 Mini Cooper E, I have the same steering wheel. Can I just buy the steering column plastics with the button and get it coded and off I go?
Unfortunately you will need the wheel too. It requires the wheel to have the heating elements and that wheel only came with cars that had the feature
I haven't got one of these but it's not something that anyone in England would ever need (maybe they'd come in handy in Scotland though).
Its a life saver here in Canada! Getting up in the morning and holding onto your steering wheel by one finger as its so cold, those days are gone!
Have you found any information yet on the retrofit for the 22/23 models that did not come with the heated steering wheel? Assuming part of the wiring harness is missing, if that and of course the column surround with button is purchased would everything work?
Sorry for the late reply! We can do it now, it is a wire that is run to the bdc by the door.
Does this mean that you don't need a new steering wheel?

So can I do this with my 2021 Clubman S? This was the feature I missed the most because every car I have owned for the last 25+ years has had a heated one and it is so wonderful in the winter. I don't think I would feel confident doing it on my own and unfortunately you guys live too far away to hire.

You can’t add these ones but you should be able to add r series ones

Yes! It wont work on all cars off the bat, and some may have to get a wire run
