I always liked Sgt Penny. A bit of a tragic figure and I'm glad we got to meet in wife in his finale at Sunhill. He came back once or twice but no one at Sunhill wanted to know him...finally having a cup of tea in the Sunhill canteen with Reg Hollis...and I think that scene got cut...
Its possible that Loxton might be a fellow-mason & a member of an army-association,as both Steve & Bronlow served in the army. Brownlow’s medals indicate that he served in the army (Possibly as an National Serviceman:-),in his younger days.

No doubt you served in the army as did I. I did know Steve Loxton was ex-army but I only heard Brownlow mention his Boy Scout days. I can relate to that connection because in many jobs I've held ex-army bosses have always treated me like a pet...I never made the connection with Brownlow's medals however as I'm not from the UK. I'm Australian. Although I have looked up UK medals over the years...
