Hi . I’m a firefighter and we made a call the other to rescue a contractor. He had lifted the platform directly into a power line. When we made scene the current was still flowing down through the boom and grounding out on the electronics in the turn table and on the ground underneath it causing arcing and fire . We had the power cut but were unsure as to how to lower the boom from ground station. The controls would not work on the panel nor would they in the platform. We used a fire ladder truck to get the guy out of the basket immediately. Is there another way to lower the boom in an emergency?
Yes. Remove the counterbalance valves in each cylinder. At your own risk. Slowly unscrew them and let the hydraulic oil leak out.the cylinder or cylinders should collapse or retract due to gravity.
Man this guy is SMART and well "acclimated" toward the product.
Is there a maximum speed going forward or backward. ?
Self leveling while boom up is inoperative kindly provide solution
