This drama is based on chinese mythology. Here the director showed a messy & bad ending which is really disappointed to many fans whose don't skip this drama from ep 1 to ep 60.I am not satisfied, many fans also get dissatisfied. When I read this drama novel ,I felt happy because in this novel it is ended by happiness with their son & their togetherness.
It's weird when you really want to watch a happy ending story but knowing cdramas will never grant your wish and still you're insanely addicted to it, the painful facts really teared up your heart and leaving your flesh numbed.There must be a season two because of the hanging ending,I wonder how long are we going to wait hmm but count me in to those who are willing :) kuddos to those who did a lot of efforts giving us a good English sub:)thanks a lot!

Goodbye my Princess, The Princess WeiYoung, Rise of the Phoenixes are also very good even if one of the main lead dies at the end the whole concept of their story are worth watching.

iam crying the most in episodes 58 and 60 because how much they sacrifice for each other how deep their love. they died for someone they love. even tho he is a monk but his heart never lies that he loves xiao qing he do everything he said likes when she die later she doesn't want live in the tree and he do it, she will be the only one girl he loves in life. for bai yao yao i dont know their ending like is he still alive? or its only her imagination but its true that demon and deity will never be together the 4 of them are example even they love each other but they can't defeat fated.

刚开始觉得挺新鲜的。跟以前的新白娘子传奇不一样。越看越磨叽，就跳着看。拖到60级，感觉已经极限了。后面剧情真的除了妖帝那块，别的都挺敷衍的。

i love the first ending.. very unique where they flashback all the memories and at the end they met again.. Xu Xuan holding red umbrella to shelter Bai Yao Yao into the rain..
But i love most the second ending of the story.The promise they had at the broken bridge is cannot be broken.. Xu Xuan fullfill his promise to Bai Yao Yao..They finally reunited and they still remember the love that they had..
