Hi Mason, I recently came across your videos which are really really helpful! It's really inspiring how you perservered through your injuries and I was wondering how long did it take for you to learn how to write/type again?
I had a guy asking me about my hand disability and we got all kinds of writing utensils going. Markers, pens, pencils, crayons, grease pens, etc.. I can write with both hands. I can write numbers; forward, backward, and upside down. Letters probably as well, haven't had a call to do many letters backward. But my writing is different and awkward. Demonstrating a disability is weird. Thanks for showing us!
Makers Making Change The palm pen holder is a writing splint that slips onto the palm. Users can gently curl their fingers around the handle to hold it securely or hook their thumb around the writing utensil. It has a large hole that can accommodate various writing tools width. This device is useful for those who have limited grip strength or finger dexterity. The pen slot can accommodate writing and drawing utensils as large as sharpie markers.
Wow, I've never seen one like that. I'm sure it works okay, but I don't like it because it does not put the utensil in a natural position. I appreciate you letting me know. Thank you for watching and commenting!

Hi Mason. Thanks for sharing. I can see from previous comments that people have tried to find this device but it has been discontinued. I'm interested in making one. Could do with hand splinting material maybe. Is yours still working?
Hi Mason, I have just recently discovered your videos and subscribed to your Chanel, it’s great! Could you please tell me what is the name of the little gadget that you use for writing and the name of the shop of where to buy it? Thank you
Hey Sylvia, thank you for subscribing! The writing tool is called the Wanchik's Writer and I ordered it from bit.ly/29W5MgT but I have no been able to find it available to buy recently.
I use the same device. The first one broke-in perfectly and made taking notes in college possible along with my working jobs. What tabletop would you recommend on your F5 Permobil that offers comfy reading and writing?
This writing adaptive tool is the best I have found but am unable to find it to purchase anywhere online. I'm not sure as I don't have a tabletop for my wheelchair although it would come in handy.
Hello! I have MS and have limited use of my hands. It has been very helpful watching your videos. I am trying to find a Wanchik Writer. They have been discontinued. There’s an expensive package of adaptive writing aids, but all I want and need is the instrument you used in this video. Do you know where I could find one?
I assumed you were needing one for the right hand because I remember looking a while back and had trouble finding any right hand ones. I’ll look later and let you know whether I find any.

I appreciate that! It probably took me a couple of years to get back to the speed I typed before my injury. Thank you for watching and commenting!

Hi Mason,
How are you able to read books with you limited mobility?
I have learned to do most things with my finger function the way it is. Reading books is the easiest.
@@masonx54 Thank you for responding to my question Mason. Your videos have been very interesting and educational. I will view the video you mentioned.

Thank you for watching my videos! Are you needing a left or right hand writing aid?
@@masonx54 I need a right handed aid.
Yeah, I don't know why they aren't making those anymore. They're the best writing aids I've seen
Mason Ellis Will keep looking. Maybe someone will post one on Craigslist or eBay. Again, thanks for the videos.
I'll see if I can find something similar.
