Good thing this was caught on camera. Poor delivery person could have been blamed if it wasn't, and no one would have believed him.

My wife was interested in working in retail because she enjoys being social. However, almost every day, the store was targeted by thieves, and the employees were forced to allow it. I find it unacceptable. During the last incident, the thieves were aggressive, and the manager blamed the employees. As a result, my wife decided to quit because the working environment was not safe. It's clear that the world is not a safe place for the working class. We need change in this country. Thieves should face severe consequences, rather than being let off the hook, and our politicians should not make excuses for their actions.
How severe are you thinking?
Blame capitalism. It’s 100% due to 💵💵💵💵
Theft costs money, but company liability for either employee or thief physical injury can cost them wayyyyyyyyyy more. We built a system where businesses are incentivized to prioritize money over everything, including and especially morals. Unfortunately being a morally honest person costs you money and doesn’t make you any.
And the fact of the matter is, no matter how much we don’t like it, the politicians are working within a capitalistic framework and thus put capitalistic laws in place, once again aided by the fact that companies can legally bribe them to make decisions in their interest. So we can sit here and get (rightfully) mad at thieves but frankly they are a symptom of a much much bigger root problem and zeroing in on them in particular will not solve anything.
I think the first time should be a fine, second time a larger fine and probation as well as community service. Third is a VERY hefty fine, large probation and community service, AND IF THAT STILL ISNT ENOUGH, jail time, with a fine.
The thing is though, is there is at the moment NO punishment. If a apple watch cost let's say $300 (I've never had one, too much money for an eyesore) then make the first fine (if the item is retrieved with no damage) $200 bucks. Second time $500 bucks. Ok, tried it twice, I got nothing and lost $700 and if I do it again, the fine is going to be over $1,000 with probation and community service. Even that would enough. It's low enough that a teen (or young adult) can make a stupid mistake but not ruin their life, but enough that most people would stop. If they don't stop, they are going to get a huge remainder why they shouldn't be a (insert your favorite adjective).

That makes no sense for a company to hold the delivery driver liable for something out of their control. It's not like the driver has time to wait for the recipient to retrieve it. Once it's delivered to the recipient, it becomes the recipient's responsibility.

for those blaming the delivery driver, as an ex amazon delivery driver myself, i have HUNDREDS of packages to deliver in an 8 hour shift, the company all but expected me to deliver one package every two minutes (that includes driving to the next house btw). and many houses would have multiple people ordering multiple packages a day and are not home to receive it. don't blame the driver, the package being stolen is NOT the drivers fault. we are instructed to leave the package and take a pic (ring doorbell if you’re so inclined) and rush to your next stop. if you're concerned about a package being stolen put a lockbox outside and give us the code, that's how many people did it and i was more than happy to take an extra minute to read the instructions people left me. your delivery driver is working a LOT harder than you’re aware of for basically minimum wage. respect them.

Part of the problem is states like California who have decided that if you still under $1000, it’s not stealing. To the person who is the owner it’s stealing nobody ever asked us or the people of California what they thought the stupid law their government made. it influences everybody when people are allowed to get away with crime and then the people that worked for it or at a loss. I’m sure the person that paid for it feels like it’s a crime. We should enforce real laws. When I was two years old, going to the grocery line with my mom. I took a small piece of candy. I didn’t realize it you couldn’t just read it and get it when we got outside to the parking lot. She brought me back and made me give it back to the cashier. OooH!!
You telling the truth.
Like 2016-2020 maybe?
Lmao people have always been thieves
@Altanirves The days before school shooting murderers, mass shootings, kids fighting their parents and teachers, parents killing their kids, kids killing their parents, kids killing kids, the days when people still had morals, integrity, and respect for self and others, etc, etc, etc. The days before lawlessness. That was the "Good Ole Days." Maybe you were not born in the 50s 60s or 70s. 😣 😡 😠 😡
Enjoy those dog biscuits bro, chewy will replace them 😂
Plot twist: dude used his neighbors address to order a package.
Ain’t no one gonna talk about what is wrong with this dudes toes?
Shows how good his parents raised him , a waste of air.
Someone so audacious is a menace to society.
This guy was with car waiting outside. So he clearly knew that package gonna arrive to this house.

Dude was waiting for that drop. Sent something good to that address. 😅
Was following the delivery guy I'd say ,how many more ?

Seems to be the 'thing'to do now.
@@trevorslater2746nah he bought that shit with a stolen credit card and sent it to that address, then waited for the package to be delivered
That poor delivery person is completely dumbfounded.
Probably a liberal not realizing crime is up
I’m with the old guy; I’m not chasing anyone but I will watch him
so that I can point you in the right direction!! 😂😂
I can tell you now the way his reaction was when he first saw the guy, he probably thought he lived there.
In other countries, they cut off a hand for stealing, kinda starting to agree with them slightly
Definitely
That’s what diversity did to your country
not stealing he used their address to order drugs 😂
It's archaic. And irreversible. You can get stolen things returned, a cut off hand is a greater loss. Stupid people💩
