The camera work to pull this off and show no trace is just incredible. Not to mention the size and depth of the *set*! I sure hope someone had the foresight to film how they did this.
" Loud-mouthed trash with their tommyrot and flapdoodle Claptrap and fiddle-faddle and jiggery-pokery." Damn that hits too hard why couldn't you have just called me a bitch 😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣
Unfortunately, I heard that they've cancelled Season 3. To make it even more painful, they were going to reference musicals like Phantom of the Opera. 😭
Why is no one commenting about the fact that Kristin Chenoweth was in a version of The Music Man and here she sings a song that's referencing this musical.... well I guess it had to be me.
@@katec2886 I know, I watched the whole series, I’m just saying she was in a version of the actual musical The Music Man as Marian Paroo and here she is referencing it.
I love this song and what they've done with it. But I never stop being perplexed about what the mixed race people of Schmigadoon have against miscegenation. It seems like they've been practicing it for quite some time. How is this part of the siren cry to rally the town against the outsiders when it seems like it would break up many happy couples who already reside within the town?
Well, their response to it was, "That sounds bad", suggesting they don't know what it means and is just going along with everything Layton has to say. Well, that's just my two cents on it anyway.
@@gu8647 And of course, *SPOILER* her own daughter had a baby out of wedlock with a black sailor. So there's a little bit of projection there for sure.
And this was done in ONE TAKE! One take!! Watch interviews with her, it's unreal.
Oh wow! I was just wondering how many takes it took. What a flawless performance. They are all really talented. And she’s just incredible!
She has a broadway background, nothing she hasn't done before. It'd be the camera men having problems here.
This is astoundingly wonderful on so many levels.

Stage performers are different. They do whole shows in one take every night.
her warning is what season 2 is! hahaha
Schmicago
What I love is that her character wasn't wrong! In season two the town is replaced with everything she said it is hilarious!!!
It's not the same town
I love how people just make things up to fit their own narrative.
this is insane, she's a monster. The fact that this was done in one take just shows how she excels in acting and singing, truly a master

That’s what schmigadoon is!! It’s a combination of the music man, brigadoon, sound of music etc. It’s very good

The good old fashion all american je ne sais quoi. :-)))))))))))))))) - The small wiggle, when she sits on the bank is genius.

This is a masterpiece 🙂
I watched this, @kristinchenoweth! Listening to your book so I stopped to see the one take wonder again. And tagging as directed. 😊 Bravo!
Thank you for this I'm looking up the book
The ending with a broomstick a la Wicked could not have been an accident...
I absolutely love her

Fantastic! One take?! Taking your advice from page 167 to give it a listen. So timely, too.
Right?! So awesome!
People are talking about Zac Efron doing getcha head in the game in 5 takes when this woman did this in 1 take
I want her to perform this again, live, and go up from C6 to an F6. Thank goodness. 4:06
We’ve got trouble my friends! We’ve got trouble right here in River City!
Maybe it’s just the dress, but she really reminds me of Missy.
Is that The Daily Show's Troy Iwata I see??? Love him!!!
Oh, my gosh!!! It's soooooo real life!!! ❤
Why did this come up on my feed during the 2024 RNC?
Poor Pete.
Sorry Pete....

@@markrouleau4792 Oh yeah, true. Forgot about that. But wasn’t her main problem with the pairing was that the guy was a sailor, not that he was black?
@@gu8647 the explanation the girl was given was that he was a sweary sailor. I think the line about miscegenation in the song hints at another reason.
