I Built A BOAT With Water Bottles

Hey guys, so in this video I built a plastic water bottle boat out of 150 Dasani water bottles. I wanted to build this because I want to bring attention to our ocean pollution. You might think that 150 water bottles is a lot but there's 8 million tons of it in the ocean. My boat compared to that is nothing. We all need to do our part and recycle because if we don't, it'll at up to 1,000 years for one bottle to biodegrade. Thanks to Mark for helping me film.

So were you able to glue the caps to the bottom of the next bottle? I didn't think the silicone would bond to the caps. Also, how is it holding up so far?

So I really only glued the side of the bottles to each other, I didn’t really glue the caps. The silicone is still holding up and everything is still on tact. The wooden support strips have rotten away and have to be replaced but other than that, it still floats
