These originally had square touch buttons that were modded in the early 80's with series 1 and had one of the earliest voice modulated floor announcers. They even replaced the original gold door sill with the classic 'Otis' logo for a generic silver one.
Otis elevonic 401series we’re installed in1985 and these 5 elevators were one of the first to talk which a male synthesized voice aka drunk grandpa voice till 1998. Then replaced with character voices that rotated elevators daily. Those were removed when contemporary resort when being evaluated for 4 diamond status. Unlike the character voices present it announced floors in a sentence and voices were deemed obnoxious by some.
I went up to the California Grill on the top of this hotel for my birthday in 2018. It's a 5-star restaurant. Installed: 1971 (Otis with Lexan Fixtures) Modernization 1: Early 1990s (Otis with Series 1 Fixtures) Modernization 2: 2012-2013 (Otis Elevonic 411M with Series M2 Fixtures)
Actually I believe these were Touch originally. And I honestly think the Series 1 mod is 401 and was done before the 90s as it had the very early lantern chimes, and I read a bit about the history of this resort and they did a massive renovation here in '85 so the original elevators were only in place for about 14ish years.
These were MUCH more fun before the recent mod. And even though they were modded with Elevonic 401 not too long after original installation (about 15ish years after), they still had many original features, the area above the elevator doors that is angled at the top below the ceiling still had it's original vintage indicators in use until the recent mod took place. These are ok, but pretty generic when compared to the previous mod
I remember the old ones, but I don't remember how they ran. I would have thought they were E411M. I feel like these wouldn't be 411M in 2013 if they were fully modded. I didn't think 401s could be mods. I could be wrong though.
I remember those in bits and pieces. I was last in this hotel in 1997 and remember it having Otis series one and Mickey voices. I also remember riding the escalators to the monorail station. I was here last Monday and got a video of the elevators finally but the monorail was out of service due to mechanical problems. Disney seems to always keep their elevators up to date. Many others got modernized in the park.
They are the Atrium and Tower Club Levels. 15 is the California Grill restaurant which is only accessed by one elevator that you have to get from the 2nd floor after you check in for your reservation.
I just uploaded these the other day on my channel too! I was able to get a nonstop ride as well. It’s called Skivator if you want to check it out. Awesome video BTW. You seem to have an awesome channel!
Elevator numbers 1 and 5 are Bockey Mouse, and number 2 is Minnie.

I take it you rode these many years ago when they were original? That is so cool!
@@FloridianElevators Yes, as a kid I remember them. I was fascinated with touch buttons.

Those elevators look pretty cool, especially the door design in the inside. Sadly, they had already changed it.

I was there for my birthday probably 12 years ago.

I was pissed off when the mod happened. I really prefer the Series 1’s over the Series M2 mods
One of my friends filled here in 2019
Lol that was me.
What really sucks, these could've been EASILY made glass..

@@AdazElevatorz They can be. There are buildings in Little Rock and Montreal with confirmed 401 mods.

The Mickey voice is featured in these elevators.
Numbers 1 and 5. Chip 4 and Minnie 2. But who's 3?
Why are 12 and 14 locked? For any particular reason?

WAS THAT THE FIRE ALARM GOING OFF?
I don't think so.
