Absolutely love the details! Extra extension cord in the outside compartment, Byron’s spot inside, the shoe storage, laundry area, etc. As always, incredible build!
This is a GREAT build! I was showing my mum what people can do with an Ambo and she was floored! Thank you for this vid and the list! Yes I will be subscribing and following!
I love that you made it your own. I’ve been thinking about doing an ambulance build myself and most of what I have seen follow a very similar layout. Your build doesn’t follow how most designs are laid out and I find that very cool!
It looks AMAZING!!! I'm so impressed by how you thought of all the little details. I think one of my favourite things is Byron's dog house. But it's all very cool. haha
Love your build! We too did a dirty laundry chute which is a huge help keeping the space uncluttered. One of the things I put on our wall is a corkboard-it allowed me to hang pictures, postcards and other items from our travels and gives it a homey feel!
Awesome video, guys! I followed your build and I'm glad you guys are out enjoying it now! Just an FYI, the 3-ton jack stand you have is undersized. The 3-ton rating is for a pair of stands, so each is only 1.5 tons. They may work okay and not collapse if you are not getting under the lifted section, but I wouldn't trust anyone's life/limb to them.🙂
Good to know! But we’re never lifting the entire vehicle. Also we use those in addition to an 8 ton bottle jack. All three points of contact with the wheels chocked should be more than enough.
love the build, me and my wife our talking about build out a ambo soon and we ran from oklahoma so we our thinking about putting in a mine split air conditioner, you guys should check it out, with the amount of power we our looking at putting inside we can run on low for like 2 days without any sun
Thank you Joshua! We would love to have AC especially with the recent heat waves we experienced! We would probably have to up our amount of power but would be worth it 🙌🏼
Obviously a lot of sweat equity in this project. Congratulations! Love your space but may I suggest you adding a picture of your parents on the wall! 😂🤣❤
I have LOVED watching this home on wheels come together. You guys are awesome; what an incredible job! I think a long viney plant (like a pothos) strung up to the ceiling or a wall (perhaps with command hooks?) would add a homey touch, but that may just be my love for plants speaking 🤔 Also, I absolutely died at Micah's old man groan while reaching for the camera, after he'd just pulled his entire body weight up onto the roof no problem 😂
Thank you Katie! I would love to add more plants in here, I just need to find a long pothos haha I didn't even notice Micah's old man groan 😂 now I have to watch it back to see hahaha so funny!
They can be a little challenging but with enough patience and research I believe anyone can do it. We have a build episode about the electric system you can check out.⚡️
This is so cool! Lots of respect for building all of this and being able to live in it as well. Do you ever miss the lack of privacy in the ambulance when you’re sort of locked inside (due to bad weather or whatever)?
Thank you so much! Yes it can be difficult when it rains to be stuck inside but luckily we've been having really good weather so far so it hasn't happened too often! 🙌🏼
I love your home❤. For making it little more homie i should have thicker curtins and maby ad some coullur. Some pic or flowers on the wall at your dining area. I really like your van as it is now, but think if you just change you curtins you have the home of the year⭐️⭐️⭐️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ I love your Chanel and you are a wonderful little family 🦮👩❤️👨 Hi from Sweden 🇸🇪
On hot humid nights without turning on the A/C why didn't you install a max air fan? Is the 400 w solar roof panels enough to keep your batteries topped off? Clean build...
We do have a max air fan! At night we open up a window and suck air out of the fan and it would create a nice breeze! Yes 400w is perfect for us, we never run out of electricity. Thank you :)
Hi Steph and Micah. I just found (this past week) your channel, Love it. I have to be one of your newest subscribers. I too have a 2003 Ford 7.3 Diesel which I am in the process of converting. What is really interesting is that my rig has basically the same outside color scheme ( two large yellow stripes and white, I love it.) as yours does. I really love that roof rack you have above the cab. I thought in one of your videos that you said (I think) that you would go into greater detail about the roof rack but I haven't come across it yet. If so, can you tell me which video that would be in and if not, can you tell me where you got it, brand name and maybe what you paid for it. I love what you two have done with yours and am in the process of binging on your videos. Love your videos, be safe and have fun. I think one of the best things I like about your videos is how down to earth you both are. You both come across as very personable, easy going and further that you don't come across as uppity or condescending. I wish you two the best.
Hey there! That's so fun that you're starting your build! Thank you for your support! As for the roof rack, we built it ourselves out of unistrut. I believe its a part of our electrical build video here -> th-cam.com/video/dGD62N6SvYw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=6sIdQmVpDl-N4RvN . All in all it probably only cost us about $300 If you ever need advice, feel free to reach out via instagram or facebook @stephandmicah. We'd be happy to help!
Pour vrai, vous me donnez goût au minimalisme, mais who am I kidding, mon 5 1/2 est pas assez grand pour moi hahah 😅 je vais continuer à vous regarder et à rêver! Allez-vous faire une vidéo Q&A? J’ai pleins de questions! 😁
Merci Claudia!! Haha ouais c'est un mode de vie pas pour tout le monde! Oui on veut faire un Q&A bientôt! Je vais demander sur instagram pour des questions tu vas pouvoir les poster là!
Thank you! We don't have a leveler, we try to find a flat spot but if not we use our recovery track to level out! We want to get leveling block though. We don't have AC! We would love to upgrade to have one because it gets very hot sometimes!
We have a whole series on our build and there's a part where we explained why we chose not to have an indoor shower! We initially wanted to but with our timeframe and space we ended up not doing it. It has plumbing for an indoor shower so can be added on in the future :)

We didn't have air conditioning in the back, we opened the windows and put the fan in reverse to create a breeze! Entertainment station like a TV? We didn't watch a lot of tv but if we did watch something it would just be on our computer 😊
Hi George! We went through all the original wiring one by one and took out anything we didn't need. It was very time consuming but the best option for us as it takes a lot of space in the ambulance! If you watch our first couple videos of our ambulance build you'll see a little bit of that process! :) Good luck!
We were lucky and won an auction on Ebay and it came directly from the fire department, definitely look on Ebay! Check out our first video of our conversion series and you'll see how we got it! :)

Absolutely love the details! Extra extension cord in the outside compartment, Byron’s spot inside, the shoe storage, laundry area, etc. As always, incredible build!
Thank you Kyle! We really tried to think about all the details after forgetting some from our tiny house build haha!
My favorite part is the electric system! Coooooolll
Hahaha that's micah's favorite part too 😉
You two did such an awesome job converting this ambulance. It's great to see you on the road reaping the benefits of all your hard work!
Thank you so much! It was a labor of love for sure but we are so happy we are finally able to travel in it!! ☺️
I love your rig - and your dog. It's so adorable how his head keeps popping up everywhere.
Thank you!! Byron is the best 😍 always with us on all of our adventures!
I really love the whole ambulance, but we’re kidding ourselves if we didn’t say Byron was our favorite part.😂
Hahaha best comment to Colton! You can't get any better than this dog. 😍
Byron is precious. Golden retrievers are the best!
Very comprehensive description of everything thanks guys! Great build
Glad you liked it!
Although there is no indoor shower, the build is awesome!
,
Thank you!!!
@@stephandmicah did you end up putting a shower in there after this video was made ?
Indoor shower, a challenging installation but looks like you guys can handle it 😉
Great job! Very creative ideas in the build. Have fun
Thank you so much! Your comment means a lot to us :)
Gorgeous build! Stunning! enjoy!
Thank you so much! We've loved living in the ambulance ☺️
Great build & some brilliant ideas
Stay safe on your travels
That door to cab is ace~ u can move if ur being hassled or in an emergency. ☆☆☆☆
Thank you!
One way to make it Look Homey is to out pics on the walls and put green plants inside. Then it will be a home
the coolest friends I have!!!! so proud of you guys!
Awww thank you 🤍 we are so glad we met you guys! First van life friends!!

It looks AMAZING!!! I'm so impressed by how you thought of all the little details. I think one of my favourite things is Byron's dog house. But it's all very cool. haha
Thank you Becky!! Byron's dog house is also my favorite! I just love that he has his own little space to relax!
Beautiful set up ! Subbed
Thanks for the support!
Love your build! We too did a dirty laundry chute which is a huge help keeping the space uncluttered. One of the things I put on our wall is a corkboard-it allowed me to hang pictures, postcards and other items from our travels and gives it a homey feel!
The laundry chute is one of our favorite features! We actually ended up adding a cork board as well for the same reason! Great minds think alike👍
Well done, you two. Great setup for you both and Byron.
Thank you! We've really been enjoying living in our ambulance! :)
Loved your rig. Especially, the interior. I think, you guys can create sitting deck on top as there is plenty of space left.
Thank you! Yes that's would be so cool!

Thank you! Yes this spot was so beautiful in Breckenridge looking out at the mountains! 🙌🏼
Nice build!! A few photos or some kind of artwork/craft on the walls would add a pop of color and some personality.❤😊
Yess! We eventually did put up some postcards we got from our travels, but I agree that it needs a pop of color and personality! :)
Wow we love the whole thing. Well done guys looks like you worked super super hard ! Amazing 😊

What kind of fuel milage do you get in the ambulance. We move cargo trailers and have been looking at this as a way to save on hotels and such.
We get roughly 11 mpg in the 7.3.

Very nice ambulance. Do u have a heater?
Thank you! We do, it's a diesel heater.
This is awesome! what kind of MPG do you get? is it hard to go stealth in an ambulance?
We get about 11-12 mpg. And kind of, it doesn’t exactly look like a normal ambulance from outside. Although we’ve never gotten the knock.
@@stephandmicah glad to hear it!

Do you have levelers on the ambulance?
Do you have any HVAC?
