The Sonix hate by some of you here is unreal. I actually went into this match expecting the much bemoaned camp, but then it turned out to be a pretty fast-paced and intense series of exchanges. Sonix was only playing patient and smart, and I think that really shows in a lot of his choices.
Yeah, he was being really patient and smart, just like that time when he spined with sonic from one side of the stage to the other like 20 times, or that time when he just stayed still in one side of the stage spinning until Leo decided to move, such an amazing and fun game.🤩

Yes, Sonix will repeatedly use Sonic's mobility to his advantage by fishing for opportunities with Spindash, but he also plays to Sonic's strengths and hits hard where it matters. When the two go in, they go *IN,* and the back-and-forth over taking neutral was interesting to me. There's just so much more than "Spindash camp" going on for me to believe the hate is reasonable.

I agree. Modern Leo (even as early as 2021) rarely ever makes a good losers run to win the whole tournament. He usually wins from winners side like with Ludwig and SWT 2021

Plenty of easy punish opertunity with Tetracarn and rebels guard when Sonic is rolling. Easy to predict his path and he can’t cancel out of the roll safely so it’s almost guaranteed counter connects. Wanted to see Leo use it more! But wonderful plays

It’s just that the problem is that if Leo reveals that card too early, Sonic in his spin stance can easily adapt with movement to be able to not hit the tetracarn

You gotta use it in a way that's infrequent enough to make Sonix scared to spam his spindash. Its more about the mental game it plays rather than the damage it returns in this case

Sonic is like this since Brawl, unfortunately. Sonic would be much better if his side b was a completely different move, one that's not too fast and doesn't transform him in a ball, also his down b should be nerfed, putting some limitations like getting slower if you over utilize it. It's really a shame, Sonic is a cool character that should be modified for Smash 6.

They should honestly just make the launch rate 1.1x in some tourneys just as a test, would be super cool to see some characters die way faster than usual, watching Ken (the SF6 character, not the japanese player) would be some hype ass ultimate games. @@isuck6049 Bro, MKleo hasn't been playing bad at all, just because other people are getting better doesn't make him a non threat anymore. He pushed this to game 5, so yes I will say MKleo is a threat because he's still really good at this game.
@@Paradox_Of_Crota fair, but I just think that leo definitely doesn't push himself as much as before anymore, he's definitely improving but it feels like he's at the slowest of that curve compared to the others, maybe because of more priorities or the game being different from where it was a few years back, he doesn't feel the same anymore. Plenty of easy punish opertunity with Tetracarn and rebels guard when Sonic is rolling. Easy to predict his path and he can’t cancel out of the roll safely so it’s almost guaranteed counter connects. Wanted to see Leo use it more! But wonderful plays

@@mazen7013 I was talking primarily about Tetracarn. I noticed he used rebel's guard alot but there were a lot of easy punishes when Arsen was out that he didnt take. He performed really well as usual of course
It’s just that the problem is that if Leo reveals that card too early, Sonic in his spin stance can easily adapt with movement to be able to not hit the tetracarn
@@damarihanson3876 yea its about using it not frequently enough to let your opponent grasp a pattern. But leo barely used it once this time unfortunately. You gotta use it in a way that's infrequent enough to make Sonix scared to spam his spindash. Its more about the mental game it plays rather than the damage it returns in this case

Sonic is like this since Brawl, unfortunately. Sonic would be much better if his side b was a completely different move, one that's not too fast and doesn't transform him in a ball, also his down b should be nerfed, putting some limitations like getting slower if you over utilize it. It's really a shame, Sonic is a cool character that should be modified for Smash 6.

What a disgustingly annoying character to watch and play against Sonic is. The strategy is pretty much waste everybody's time until there is a favorable opening. I wonder why fighting games fail to fix pitiful strategies that drain the fun of game.
