Joker's only strength in the matchup is edgegaurding Cloud, but that's easier said than done. Joker also usually relies on smash attacks to kill, but Cloud can just invalidate that by spamming aerials in nuetral. Meanwhile, Cloud can simply kill Joker with his frame 9 dash attack that can anti-air and cover all ledge options. The only thing Joker can do is try to land a back air for the kill. But worst of all, Cloud's up-air makes it impossible to for Joker to land, even with down guns. Joker may have won the Cloud matchup pre patch, but now the tables have turned.

This set was way more exciting than grand finals! I think Leo gets more tired and eager now, during this match he risked a lot to get confirms, whilst in the past he was more patient and wore out enemies, wouldn't matter if the enemy was at 200%, he used to value his precious life more than now.

if you wanna be technical it can actually be seen as an "optimal" move, spiking cloud down like that is faster than letting him drift down slowly, which gives him more time to use his arsene meter in combat, in fact if he didn't do that he wouldn't've been able to land the nair at 5:55 which comes out just before the meter drops and leads to a 30%~ combo

Leo literally won game 2 when spargo did the early up b when they were both a last stock. All he had to do was Perry the up b and then jab or f tilt and then spargo had no jump so it was a free back air even though im pretty sure that alone would’ve been enough. Instead Leo jumps into it and down b’s for no rzn. He didn’t even get close to arsene for it and then he dies to sour spot up air . So sad 😞.

I absolutely love seeing Leo's joker come back. But god damn He needs to use Tetrakarn/Mukarakarn against spargo's cloud much more often. Spargo leaves himself so open for easy counter punishment

Recently his jokers been using Down b a LOT out of disadvantage but this tourney he wasn’t that much and bc of it he played much more carefully and honestly better. But I do agree that counter would have gotten easy stocks for Sparg0’s up B’s ngl that lasting counter box is way too big and lasts way too long
