I bought this in August 2020, was actually looking at the FX or a KTM but there was no inventory. Was able to find a new WR and jumped on it. Love this bike
The skid plate looks awesome and is very functional in the protection. Since this is a 450 and I am not a pro rider, I could have probably stuck to the stock exhaust but that FMF looks awesome!
What no GYTR ECU? or CCU. I just bought a used 2019 with less than one hour on it with the same exhaust and GYTR ECU/CCU. I had an older 07. All I can say is "Tears of joy" man. I love this bike!
@@sherburnoutdoors It is definitely well worth it if your looking for more power, throttle response etc. Switching between maps is night and day in terms of power. Easy controllable mode vs. holy crap dont bump the throttle or your looping out, that type of difference. Think YZ twitchy race bike vs smooth and controlled
Beauuuuutiful bike..I have the '05 WR450F all free mods and street legal might want a '23 now,ha... For better air can the stock plastic radiator cooling fins be totally removed completely?? I would think that's a no-brainer to keep it as cool as possible
@@sherburnoutdoors I've got the '05 WR450F no fan just looking to keep things a little cooler, I'm going to buy a thermostat temp guage radiator cap and keep an eye on things I'll try with and without the fins and see if it runs any cooler👍
This was a great video. I’ve got my sight set on a WR250F or a YZ250F or… a Beta RR200. I live in NC so my riding areas are probably similar to yours. I need my bike to be good at Sprint enduros, enduros, hare scrambles and trail riding in NC, WV, TN, GA… south east with the occasional trip to Utah. I think I’m on the right track. I’m going for the 250 Because I’m a stumpy 5’7” and 195 lbs. I think the 450 May be “wasted power” on me. Any thoughts? Thanks man!
I do love the 450 power, I am 6'1 and 250, with that said, it sometimes gets to be a little much in the tight areas and find myself clutching a lot to keep the front end down
@@sherburnoutdoorsyeah I see that on the bike now, bought a 2023 wr450f the day after I made the comment, what changes did you have to make to the ECU after uncorking? Did it run lean? What changes for the fmf slip-on? Thanks in advance, love the bike by the way!
hello, I have 2007 wr450, I tore down beginning of 2021, reassembling I simply cant remember where the long ground connect from the battery goes. any help?
Not sure I understand , Never heard that before, was a simple top 10. Bike has actually changed a lot since this video a couple of years ago, should probably update
Nice bike! When these new model WRs came out I wanted this one. Went to dealer and saw the 450FX and went that route.

Dream bike. Well done!

The can but I replaced them with aluminum protection. There is a fan, never had issues
