Air and Space Force BMT is about mental stress not physical, just like their jobs will be. Physical training is minimal, just enough to live in a FOB. The few jobs that are combat related get very physical training in the technical classes that occur just after graduating basic. When I went through basic, the mind games were brutal and many trainees failed. Instructors did their best to remove trainees by making them lose their tempers, get flustered or inattentive, or take inappropriate actions.
No offense but this is BEAST week there should be screaming and yelling no laughing. This is suppose to be serious not some summer camp. This is suppose to be hell not fun and games. When I join I hope it's a lil more serious than this in BMT.

@@USAirForceRecruiting Thank you; will the same activities be available to new recruits post March 2020?
Dee, it has been constantly changing due to different changing Covid requirements, so we cannot answer for future training.

Definitely not 4 months ago. My exp 4 months ago because of Covid had BEAST week gutted to the point almost the entire experience was gone. No kevlar vest or helmets for example.
@@deewill8915 I went thru in April, beast was a lot of standing around 6 feet apart in the hot sun lol
I can’t wait till I ship out!!
Awesome. Good luck and best wishes to you!!

Is it really as hard as it looks?
how long is basic during the pandemic?
Nick, BMT is temporarily shortening training from eight and a half to seven and a half weeks. This will allow BMT to adhere to social-distancing guidelines as well as ensure the safety and security of the trainees, the Military Training Instructors and BMT support personnel.

I’m glad it looks like this for my wife. Cus only memory I had of bootcamp was the marine way… not like this. It’s good though!
We did not get to do this at beast
They’re lucky. The water main broke when I went
I’m Army. This looks easy af compared to he Forge.
I went through it 5 years back and I expected it to be way more challenging than it was.. I was a little disappointed
Izak Nicholas yet, the army doesn't make a move until the AF or navy makes it safe for them, ironic huh!
@@B_radd Funny when a air base gets attacked they call the Army
Izak Nicholas well someone has to rebuild it.
What most of you dont know is that this is the last week of basic training. You already know you're graduating and they arnt even drill instructors teaching the course. So before u crayon eaters judge do your research
Nah bru this has to be before COVID😤
Wish I can join the airforce im just 55lbs from being able to 😤
You can do it. Move more, eat less. Begin to walk/run...weights and flexibility. You can do it!
We had someone in our platoon that lost 200 pounds to enlist you can do it just depends on how dedicated you are to enlisting
It’s actually pissing me off how easy Airforce BMT is
What branch you in?
Air and Space Force BMT is about mental stress not physical, just like their jobs will be. Physical training is minimal, just enough to live in a FOB. The few jobs that are combat related get very physical training in the technical classes that occur just after graduating basic. When I went through basic, the mind games were brutal and many trainees failed. Instructors did their best to remove trainees by making them lose their tempers, get flustered or inattentive, or take inappropriate actions.
@@mudboy9762 yeah it is more oriented to the Air Force way. Every branch calls for a different role, and like you said it implies it in their BMT
Bruh, this is why every branch makes fun of the AF
Why ain’t they wearing legit IOTV’s lol?
I like how in 10:30 their wearing uniforms from the 90s
Is this during BMT?
Rupe, yes it is.

my beast week was only a day and a half long
I have a feeling this is propaganda by the air force to make you want to join.
...this isn't basic this is a summer camp.
No offense but this is BEAST week there should be screaming and yelling no laughing. This is suppose to be serious not some summer camp. This is suppose to be hell not fun and games. When I join I hope it's a lil more serious than this in BMT.
Then join the marines my dude
The obstacle course and BEAST in general is near the end of training. Peer encouragement is accepted. It's competitive between flights typically. They aren't in the hell phase of training anymore.
Lol don’t join the af than join marines if u want a hard basic
It wasn't like this 19 years ago. This is "new age" stuff.
@@alexsmith6914 either way af is a joke except for pj cct selection
i graduated oct.1 this was not how beast was..
How was it please? And how long did it take? Was it a while week or just a few hours in a day?
my beast week was 4 days, youll eat 2 mre’s breakfast and lunch then you’ll eat dinner at a makeshift dfac. the obstacle course was cut short due to covid( its pretty easy) i think beast is back to 5 days now. you’ll also do a bomb drill where they will grade you and your zone.
Beast week was the best part about bmt. Only thing that sucked was the showers
I live in south Korea now
I want to graduate from college and join US airforce
What is your highest level of education, age, and citizenship status? We do have a recruiter that works overseas in your area.

This looks like fun. I wanna do nuclear or pararescue.
ONorse, your Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test scores, physical exam, citizenship and moral standards determine your job/career qualifications.
What is your age, highest level of education completed, citizenship status, and zip code?

They have an actual mote now, wow.
Fall in the water and get soak: Demerit!
Beast week was a pillow fest. Easy af, and it still sucked. Would rather be on EC duty during that week. Felt like a little kids obstacle course
Looks like one too
Hated Beast week missed my AC
Elite Jordan right, no one joins the AF to do this type of stuff!
I remember we didn’t get to use gloves on the rope swing
there wasn't much that was "beast" about this.. looks like a fun day messing around.. I have better workouts longboarding up and down hills.
still love the Air Force. 🇺🇸
IDK if I should laugh, or cry at the lackadaisical effort of this training. I hope there is something more strenuous in their training than this cakewalk.
Why?
Sadly, no
@@joshmagnum3718 why does there have to be lol
Savvy Sauce it's called basic for a reason.
LET’S GOOO!!!!!!
It’s a summer camp lol
that’s me! AYEEEEEEEE
Can't wait to join the air force
Shouldn’t be this much smiling and laughing!
Eating with headgear on?????
If only my drill instructors were there
They would never be allowed to cheer like that in marine corps boot camp
Looks like summer camp compared to the Army.
very cool deal guys
I mean i probably dont have a say in this since im still a civilian but this looks really easy why are they going slow? Im looking foward to be an airman one day but this looks embarrassing. But then again im not in their boots. Good luck airmen 👍🇺🇸
It’s probably harder than it looks. But doesn’t it look so fun?
It’s the airforce what u expect 😂😂
It’s mostly just exhausting after being out in the heat for the length of the day but it was all in all a lot of fun
It's the Air Force. Essentially it's where the smart people go. Most airmen are working on planes or intelligence. There really is no need for extreme training. Unless you're a PJ; those guys are badass!
@@matreiya0 it sure does!
Imagine going through boot and not getting issued ABUs, OCPs Are uggggggg
Imagine going though BMT and not getting issued BDUs. ABU's are terrible.
ABUs were hot garbage. The only airmen who liked them were the office based AFSCs.
Literally just went through beast week 2 months ago and it wasn't like this but ok
I’m enlisting in Air Force soon. Is it really this boring ?
@@aceboogieee111 meh sometimes it can be super boring just a lot of rolling and folding clothes and studying.
Nice
I dont remember all the smiling and laughing when I went through. Looks like they've gone soft.
Where the yelling and there weapon at...? Oh this ain't the army, my bad g
