Im not a keralite, I have been to Varkala and was shocked to see the so called "beautiful coast". So terribly maintained and barely any amenities or safety for people. There was just one police station for all of the city. and ththere is none close to the touristic place. You have to travel easily an hour to get there
@@mathangi93 Bro I live in Varkala😂. Born and brought up here. Beach is just 3km away from my home. Varkala has adequate police stations. I think the police station you saw will be situated in maithanam junction.. Varkala is just a small town.. Local body here is Municipality not Coorporation..There are many panchayats surrounding to varkala town and there is adequate force. In newyear and Karkkidaka vavu occasions additonal forces are deployed here. And the beach is well maintained than goa or any other beach spots in entire nation. If you are saying about the shops and resort construction in ledge I may agree with you.. The municipality is ruled by LDF - front led by CPIM.. The major opposition party is BJP. The point is if municipality strengthen its power against these resorts and other enterprises the BJP and their IT cell will brand the entire Kerala as hell of entrepreneurs. They have done this earlier too..Especially Tourism is one of the backbone of this State... It will affect the investment in Kerala..

Suresh Gopi says that the next budget is just 6 months away which means THIS BUDGET IS NOT TO BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT, as he has nothing to his credit for the state for which he had made TALL CLAIMS.

Kerala does not need any spiritual circuits, what we need is a rèligion neutral tourism, in which those who want religion be accorded.
Foreign tourist are least bothered about religion, what they want is a jolly time enjoying the scenes and beauty of kerala.
I'm not taking sides with any political party here. But many of the tourists who come to India, especially from the West are coming for spiritual reasons, as well as to see Kerala. So having both types of tourism is a good idea.
