- The moment I saw the Impulse figure from McFarlane, I knew I had found the perfect base for an Invincible action figure.
So this week, that's what we're doing!
This is going to be a fun one as I try out some new techniques that may or may not work.

Really good man. Also considering its part of image and how successful the show is, I can't believe they haven't made an official Invincible line yet.
They have some cartoon figures, but I always wanted something a bit more comicbook-y. This was the perfect way to do it.
Great looking custom. And I’m in awe at how beautifully that Vallejo paint goes down; I’m going to have to try it out!

I Really like this Custom . I was wanting to use the same figure except printing a few parts and a Gloss paint job . I absolutely LOVE Kirkman and all of his creations. Invincible is so GOOD!
Have you ever thought about using green stuff at times?
I only found out about green stuff recently. I'm thinking once I use up my current stash of Milliput I'll give it a try.

That's not a bad idea! I'll start doing that in the future.
Would recommend using liquid mask for the line work and a surface primer or hitting the figure with a clear matte spray to give the surface more texture to grab the paint.
Thanks! I'm definitely working with the primer. I used it on Omni-Man, which will hit next week, and it was so much easier to paint afterward.

Love the figures and your content! The paint "bleed" issue stems from the fact that you are using glossy paints. The glossy paints have more chemicals in them to help them flow, so they can bleed pretty bad, no matter how much tape or Silly Putty you use. So what I have been doing is using flat paint, which dries faster and doesn't run as badly, then doing a clear gloss coat over the top. This also adds a layer that protects the paint.

It looks good. So this is different then the new show.
The suit is the same, but using this figure as a base it just becomes more like the comic book. If you love the show but haven't read the comic, pick up one of the trade paperbacks. You'll love it!
Fantastic video, always great to see you experiment with new techniques. If you want a suggestion, go with flat paints (they tend do bleed less). And invest in a matte sealer, it saves lives. And while you’re at it, might as well invest in a white primer (spray can) lol.
The primer is a sure thing. I actually used it on the next figure, Omni-Man, and it was a life-saver.
I don’t know if you want to but you should do the black a blue costume

That's my plan if I find another Impulse. I would do a bloody beaten version like after Mark fought Conquest.
Instead of using a Magnifying Glass you get magnifying glasses so you can look at the details closer

I seen an Onmiman made from Flash and Red Son Superman but this is so damn creative
This week I'll post my Omni-Man custom. I used a Dark Knight Returns Superman.

Can I know the name of the paints and coating you used please?
I use Vallejo paints for most of what I do. For Invincible I used Azul Andrea blue, Amarillo Soleado yellow, and standard black. I use Mr Clean enamels for the clear coats.

Honestly I've only been able to watch the first four episodes. We've been trying to get together as a friend group to watch the rest, but we haven't been able to yet. I dug the show though, since it follows the spirit of the comics pretty perfectly.
what yellow do you use?
Citadel Flash Gitz Yellow.
what kind of black paint is that?
It's Vallejo black. Nothing more special than that.
Wouldn't air brushing work better?
Probably, but I enjoy hand painting. That's why I do it.
you should so make bart Allan or impulse inertia from dc comics
I did that i had to get 3 impulses but i might make a blody invincible with a 4th

I don't usually because it's not generally worth the time depending on how complicated the figure is, but I've done them before on a case-by-case basis. What are you interested in?
@@superheumannsir i’ve been tirelessly searching for a 6 inch articulated invincible figure for months but i cant find any online. I am tempted to use a Vulcan body to make invincible but i dont have the skillset like you do. Please let me buy an invincible character from you
@@thesource4324 Honestly, I'm hesitant to sell because I do this for myself and I'm not sure if I'll enjoy customizing for others, or that at the end of the day it would be worth the time and effort that goes into it. That's my worry.
