My prediction: Tesla's 25k car will also be the Robotaxi, two products in one made on a single production line. The car will convert from personal car to Robotaxi with the easily removable/installable steer-by-wire wheel. Forget just hailing a Robotaxi, anyone will be able to BUY one on Oct 10th!
If you are right the the Robotaxi will be available for personal use and purchase (supervised) while FSD keeps improving until the day it becomes level 5, then you can take off the steering wheel because then any input on your side might shift the liability to you.

The best thing Musk can do is not get involved with politics. He’s starting to look like a James Bond master villain. I will bet that is exactly his secret dream! I was looking forward to replacing my MYP + FSD with Juniper MLR if they accept to transfer my FSD. Now that they are working on HW5, maybe the 2026 MYLR will be a better purchase. Anyways, I have low mileage and purchased the extended warranty.

I am glad to see the side view mirror tilt controls. I appreciated the right side mirror aiming down to see the curb, but it was annoying on the driver's side because I want that mirror pointing straight back, as the auto-tilt made that mirror nearly useless for seeing behind and on the side when backing up.

The evidence so far is that vehicles are all allocated to customers as they’re coming off the production line and then are delivered to the customers local delivery centre, where they’re handed over within days.
If you’re seeing a handful of them at a delivery centre, all you’re seeing is vehicles awaiting collection.

Put it this way... the fact that you can order a Foundation Series for IMMEDIATE delivery means there are trucks out there that people are not picking up. Remember the whole "you're not going to get a Cybertruck for 5 years," thing? Just like the other vehicles, Tesla is producing them, whether or not there is a buyer for them.

If Elon says FSD has been achieved that is when they have to accept liability for all accidents and tickets it causes. I don't think this will happen soon and it will be obvious when FSD is capable enough.
