This is my favorite plane from my childhood. Great plane, great operator.
Absolutely spectacular! If we did not know it was a model it could pass for the real thing while flying. It looks, handles, and most importantly sounds like an actual jet fighter.
Your Mig17 is the best I’ve ever seen. It is my favorite Soviet fighter. Your flying is so smooth and very scale like with the rolls performed. Yet very large scale that makes it so awesome. The afterburner effect is awesome. The MiG 17’s afterburner was more like a flicker than many fighters. Your fighter, the well swept wings and it’s iconic rounded tips that makes it my favorite fighter. Your landing is so steady and smooth with its flaps down. I was blown away. I love your paint scheme. Maybe in the future have another MiG 17 painted in North Vietnamese Air Force camouflage. Really neat to see a mock aerial battle maneuvering against a Scale F-4 Phantom. Again awesome detailing, scale pilot and paint scheme.
Fantastic display. Have you thought of putting a go pro camera in the nose where a 16 mm movie camera would have been mounted ? Cheers from Downunder 👍🇦🇺
Летал на этом самолёте. Копия впечатляет своей достовернстью. Только не было такой раскраски. Самолёт был серебристым, с красными звездами. Только носовая часть, перед кабиной, красилась в черный цвет, чтобы уменьшить ослепление пилота.
Sorry but I was late to this presentation Pete. Having observed a full size MIG-17 perform at an airshow, this is remarkable including the flickering afterburner. His fit and finish exceeds the full size aircraft. Beautiful. Jim
Another great jet and another great video❤ Carf make great models and really at a decent price. Top Rc makes some great Warbirds at really good prices.
The successor of the Mig-15, which was a German aircraft Focke Wolf TA 183 with a British engine Rolls-Royce Nene Mk. I. The engine was such an exact copy that parts could be replaced with the British original.
Two different landing techniques-first with take off flap and Airbrakes, second with full flap no AB. Strong cross wind this day so tried both. Addition of 1/4” CROW for flap landing proved worthwhile for the future. Nice Video and stills Pete and Deeno, thank you. Two flights stitched together looks like I fly with extended tanks 😄
Stunning model and beautiful flying too. Did either landing technique work better - both looked very smooth to me! I really liked your long low take off too.
Like you say both now stable. That was the first landing with some CROW added on full flap. This site topography and buildings can make it turbulent, model is easy to land either way, just looking at making it look good! Without a cross wind I would always land full flap
A really beautiful 'plane, I assume that it has an EDF motor, the sound quality wasn't good enough to hear your description clearly. The only comment I'd like to make is that it'd have been better with a commentary. Well done.
@@tbobborap1 Thanks for the reply. I asked because I wasn't familiar with the description of that engine, whether it was an actual miniature jet powerplant or the name of a model aircraft electric fan unit. I'll look it up.

Its true. The bigger the model is, the better they fly, and the more scale they fly. Wonderful model.
It's a beauty. And nice flying.
Amazing model, pretty flight, what a great job.
thanks peter, Glad you enjoyed it
did a nice little dance right after rotation!
Fantastic 👍
Thank you! Cheers!

First president of Indonesia favorites fighter jet, Mr. Sukarno..he always proud with this craft in 1950 to 1965 era. Nice fighter jet RC, Sir..👍👍
Шикарный самолёт!!! Браво!
МАНЫ ТХАНКС !
Супер!!!
Another great jet and another great video❤ Carf make great models and really at a decent price. Top Rc makes some great Warbirds at really good prices.
Thanks chris 👍
I remember in the 1950s that the Mass Air Nat Guard had these at "Logan Field". They had shamrocks and fighting Irish logo on the tails.

@@davewilshere Thanks Dave, yes it all looked good to me :) Hope you get to fly it often!
Is that EDF? Pretty sweet.

Read the video title and description tony - all the info is in there

Powered by RollsRoyce!
WRONG SCALE!!! IT IS 1/5!!!
If you want to correct than please get your facts right, its 1/3.7 scale ;)
lol lol lol lol
@@dannyvdz4388 Struck me as well that 1/3 could not be correct. 1/3.7 is about 20% smaller.
Great build and impressive piloting!😀
thanks jules
One question: How does one even begin to build something like this?
